Hotell nära Jungjeng-parken

"The hotel is truly a majestic and beautiful building (although dated) and well worth visiting. Be aware of that it is a tourist attraction and can be very crowded and noisy in the lobby. During our trip (weekend), an army of young girls in princess dresses wrecked havoc in the lobby. It was less than ideal for enjoying a romantic treat in the lobby cafe and the staff were very busy. Not much time for giving us service or attention, which caused an initially disappointed impression. I would say that the lobby cafe is overpriced in regards to the level of service and mediocre quality of food & drink. The interior design is beautiful and we appreciated the white tablecloth and all, but the noisy stressful environment was a let down. We asked a waitress if there was some special event but she said that it's always like that. Seems like kids and tour busses full of backwater mainland Chinese villagers from all over arrive and spend some time in the facility. Forget any notion of dresscode and expect cheap behaviour like blasting cell phone speaker noise in public.. We had dinner in the golden dragon restaurant. A quite nice experience with a good view of downtown Taipei. The service style was a bit different from western restaurants. If you wanted to order, you really had to grab the attention of the staff. Very good food! I don't recommend the breakfast. A lot of choices, but most of it low quality."

"The beds and linen are great! Staff know enough English to communicate. Breakfast good if you like food style, not to much if you like European style, but always something’s to eat. The rooms looks clean but very dusty while retrieving some things toddle threw under bed. Tape in bathroom to hold one piece of tiles in place. The rooms are NOT soundproof, not even a little - this was the biggest disappointment while staying 12 nights. We are bound to head back to Taipei in end July and might consider booking the same hotel again. "

"Jag valde detta hotell då det är i Japans stil med onsen. Hotellet är bra men inte lika bra som jag väntat mig. Frukosten är inte japansk utan taiwanesisk och italiensk (väldigt goda pizzabitar) men det största problemet med frukosten (som är dyr) är att akustiken var förfärlig- det var otroligt bullrigt och skrikigt och dessutom ganska hög musik - för mig som är morgontrött och ljuskänslig var det ingen bra upplevelse. Onsen var ganska litet, en bassäng men helt ok. Rummet var stort och rymligt, sängen skön, bra service. "

"Familje rummet för 4 personer är rymligt, har stora dubbelsängar där vi kunde sova 1 vuxen och 2 barn ihop, området kring matbordet var stort och vi kunde förvara våra väskor utan att det känns trångt. Badrummet har både dusch och badkar vilket är ett plus. Vi är även väldigt nöjda med tvättrummet och poolen. Restaurangens mat smakade ok, personalen var något otrevliga, kanske för att de inte kunde engelska men så borde de be någon annan att översätta. Det jobbigaste med hotellet är den starka doften i lobbyn, nån parfym eller doftgrej, man blir så illamåendet av den samt att samma musik spelades om och om igen i restaurangen. Avståndet till närmaste MRT är ca 350 m bort."
