Lovely stay
We were very comfortable with 5 guests. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The views are amazing-we saw whales, sea turtles, tons of fish and sea creatures. The pool is nice. The condo had a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels. There is a great surf break directly in front of the condos. Highly recommend!

Sunsets from this lanai cannot be beat!
This was our sixth day at Kona Valley Kai the views and Vello value cannot be beat. I dream about sleeping in this ocean front master when I am back in Ohio and missing the waves! My sunset pictures from the lanai are the best love watching the surfers. the condo is nicely equipped and stocked. Kitchen was great to cook in with good appliances. Beds were very comfortable. There is so much to do in Kona and the weather is perfect every day.

Loved this well outfitted condo! Very clean. Terrific lanai with really comfortable furniture. Could have spent all day watching the ocean and surfers. Really appreciated the beach chairs and cooler. Great location. Communication with Dawn was easy and she was super prompt in replying. We are looking forward to returning.

Beautiful view
We loved our stay here and thought it a great value for a comfortable condo. The sunset view here is just unbeatable and our favorite of the 3 rentals we’d used. (Here, Volcano, & Ko Olina on Oahu). We stayed in a luxury unit on Oahu that cost more than double a night from this condo and we all commented on how much of a better deal this condo was. We had everything we needed and more. The only con was that the air conditioning is on a 4 hour timer and that was a bit annoying. I’d wake up warm, but would just get up and reset it each night. All the pros were so good that the air conditioning timer wasn’t enough to keep us from feeling as if this was still easily a 5 star stay. We saw lots of fish and eels in the tide pools. Da Poke Shack is right there and was delicious. Parking was plentiful and it was a short drive into Kona. My husband and I walked to town once but it was a bit of a hike there and back. Our first night there we were tired from traveling for almost 16 hours and we used Doordash to deliver groceries from Safeway. It was a quick and easy delivery to the condo. Each morning we sat on the lanai and watched a few surfers. We never used the pool but it looked clean and there were plenty of chairs. Check-in and out was easy. There were stairs and an elevator. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend this condo to others. Actually, we already have told friends how much we enjoyed staying here.

Amazing Views
We loved our stay here. The balcony is amazing with beautiful views and surfers to watch. The breeze and the sound of the waves were so relaxing. The unit had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed on 3 islands and this was our favorite rental. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great view, but many small spoilers.
Spectacular view marred by many trivial but distracting issues. 1 Small bugs, perhaps ants, all over kitchen sink and 2nd bathroom. 2. Cockroachkilled on the glide of the slider. (Both issues would probably best be handled by exterminator, and not the ant & roach spray left under kitchen sink. 3. No way discovered to turn on living room lamps. 4. All knives are extremely dull making food preparation difficult. 5. Light over entryway flickers on and off. 6. Broom well hidden in 2nd bedroom closet. Lots of room for it by refrigerator. 7. Timer on A/C is a joke. Property is presented as high class, yet managed like a tennament. The old building is showing its age and little love or pride in ownership.

Wish I was there now.
Just like the photos. Sitting on the lanaii is the best! We were there in August. Yes, it was warm, but we never turned on the a/c unit. We found that just the cross breeze from having the sliding glass doors and front door open kept it very comfortable. The front door has a locking screen. It's walkable to Magic Sands. We didn't eat at at the poke shop that is on the premises, but it is very popular. Great having beach towels, chairs, and snorkle gear to use. We didn't cook though the kitchen was nicely stocked. There is a regular coffee maker and a starter supply of coffee. Never had trouble finding a parking spot. There is one thing that the owners can't do anything about but that is annoying/puzzling and that is that the people in the unit above move their heavy lanaii furniture CONSTANTLY. We could not imagine what they were doing up there from early morning till late at night. Don't get me wrong, we would go back in a second, but it really made you want to find out what in the world was going on. Anyway, terrific place no matter what.

AC was not sufficient and it had a TIMER!
The condo had everything that was stated in the Vrbo add, plus some extra amenities that surprised me. It was nicely furnished and recently renovated, but the AC was a major issue. The complaint that I have is that the one small AC unit was not sufficient to cool the entire condo. The second HUGE complaint that I have, is that it was operated via a 4 hour timer! Not only would the unit not cool the furthest bedroom and bathroom, but the timer would turn the unit off while you were out for the day and the condo would be miserably hot upon return. This made taking a shower to prepare for an evening function miserable due to the hot condo. You also had to wake up during the night (3am-4am) to turn the "TIMER" back on because it would turn the AC off! It took two days for the small unit to initially cool the condo down to a livable temperature, but the constant fight with the AC timer added a degree of difficulty that was unnecessary. It was a constant battle to remember to set the timer when you left the condo. We would have a great day, then on the drive back someone would always state, "you know the timer has turned off," which was just a buzz kill to the entire day. I feel cheated due to the AC. The timer just added a....."Cheap"...feeling to the entire experience. We went on vacation to get away from the hustle of everyday life but the AC added a frustration that could have easily been avoided. I would not stay at this property again.

Great location, and we absolutely loved the view from the balcony. We absolutely would stay again. Cleanliness was somewhat lacking, though. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets. The bedding in the master bedroom was covered in hair, and the pillowcases were stained.

Beautiful views!
This was a great place to stay. The views are amazing, it’s close to town, it was very well stocked, and beds were comfortable. The sound of the ocean can’t be beat. The only negatives for us were the condo above us sounded like they were constantly rearranging their furniture. It was so loud sitting on the lanai and in the master bedroom. It was hard to enjoy the lanai when they were constantly moving things. It also kept us up at night because it was so loud. The doors to the master bedroom don’t provide much privacy if you’re traveling with another adult couple. The temperature in the master bedroom was comfortable, but the back bedroom was miserably hot. Even with the little ac unit. It doesn’t cool down the back bedroom at all so our friends who stayed in there were miserably hot. Great place to stay but if we stayed here again it would only be 2 of us, I wouldn’t bring more people.

Amazing views!
The views are amazing! I thought that picture had been doctored, but upon arrival, it’s the first thing I noticed. On our arrival at the property we were a little worried, as it was warms and stuffy. We turned n the air conditioner, and by the time we got unpacked and settled, it cooled right down. The fact the the ac was on a timer was a little bit of a downer, but with what we found online, most places don’t even have it. Overall, a great place, and would definitely recommend!

It’s more beautiful than the pics! You are on top of the ocean and the waves crashing are so loud and it is stocked with ever you need and the tidepools at the beach in front of the condo are filled with so many tyoes of fish and crabs. The location is so safe and peaceful. My teens were blown away and couldn’t find anything to complain about!! The view from your lanai is so incredible.

Perfect Spot on the Kona Coast
Everything clean and ready for our visit. Loved that it was right on Banyan's Surf Spot. Watching surfers all day and their families was super cool and fun. Banyan Mart is right across the street, which made getting some necessities super easy. Loved it, want to stay again!!

This rental was the perfect place to stay on the big island. The view from the balcony was spectacular and was our favorite hangout spot every evening. It had excellent amenities and everything was nice and clean for us. Great communication by the host, and parking was super easy. The pool was a fun bonus. We would definitely stay here again. Lovely Place with a Great View
My wife and I had a great 2 week stay at the property. It sits right on the water so the views and sounds from the ocean are outstanding. The king-size master bed was very comfortable and looked out right on the ocean. We loved that! The unit is very well appointed and had everything we needed. It had a very nice washer/dryer in the condo which was super handy and the internet speed was great (>100 mbps). Even though there wasn’t central air conditioning, there was a small air cooling unit that worked perfectly fine. There were also fans in every room, which was great. The location, about half way between Kailua and Keahou, worked well for. It was easy to get into town and get groceries. There was also plenty of covered parking. The unit and complex are a bit older and do show some signs of its age and proximity to the ocean. Everything worked, however, and we would definitely consider returning there.

Wonderful stay!
We just LOVED our time here. The bed was super comfy which I was concerned about, but was pleasantly surprised. The location was perfect. The lanai was a dream. My only complaint is that the lamp shades had a ton of dust on them and the picture frames were dirty too- minor things but for the amount you pay per night plus the cleaning fee I felt like those things shouldn’t be over looked. Otherwise I was super happy and would love to come back.

Great for families
We rented this place, 2 doors down from another rental property, where our daughter, her husband and their four kids ages 3-11 stayed. It was so much fun for the kids and as a result, all of us. We all swam and explored every single day. Kitchen VERY well stocked—can’t think of a thing they didn’t have that we needed! Didn’t need to use AC once, as ocean breezes/fans/open doors/shades when needed kept it quite comfortable. Found it to be exactly as shown in photos. Great choice.

One month in Kona!
My husband, my child and I stayed here for a month, working and schooling remotely. The condo is exactly as described. I loved sitting out on the lanai in the morning, watching the ocean and the surfers. We stepped into the ocean or swam in the pool daily. The landlord is very friendly, offering lots of information about the area and very willing to remedy any problem. We were sad to say good-bye to the sunsets!

What a view!
Loved everything about this condo. Lynn was very accommodating and responsive with tweaking dates and times. We heard nothing but the pounding ocean. I enjoyed watching the surfers in the water, however they would use the grassy area and rocks directly below the lanai to go out. Not a big deal but they are right there. Overall, 5 star property.

Ideal location - Right on ocean
It was great staying here and just sitting or dining on the lanai which immediately overlooks the ocean. The host was helpful and responsive and the interior amenities exceeded my expectations. I'm so glad Hawaii finally re-opened to tourism and that I chose this condo to stay in. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

Oh-Oceanfront Beauty
We loved being right at the water’s edge watching surfers, sunsets and having the sound of the waves hitting the lava shoreline. 3rd floor condo was above the ocean spray and even the parked car had an amazing view. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics including a blender and coffee grinder. The complex has gas grills out on the private back lawn and chairs/loungers for watching sunsets if you choose to leave your own balcony. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We can’t wait to return.

Lovely!
We walked in the front door to a well-furnished, clean, beautiful place to stay! The ocean view from the back porch was breath-taking! I have 3 grown sons and along with my husband there was plenty of bed space and 2 modernized bathrooms to accommodate us! The kitchen was well-equipped with new appliances and everything you need (except groceries of course) to cook for the family (which we did because our stay was at the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic)! The only thing I would improve is a soft foam mattress topper on the guest bed! The condo was close to beautiful beaches dotted with lava rock (we saw sea turtles), nice restaurants, and shopping. ❤️

We so enjoyed at stay at unit 305! Lynn a fabulous host. Anything we required an answer to ge immediately responded. We used the outdoor chairs at the beach daily. Highly recommend this unit! The ocean right out your lanai. Saw 2 whales and lots of turtles! Yellow tangs in the waves! Just Awesome! Thank you Lynn!!!! We will be back!
