  • Escape to this charming 1-bedroom gem that sits right on Alii Dr. With a fully equipped kitchen, queen bed and sofa bed (sleeps 4) - it's the perfect home base for sunsets, snorkeling, and everything Kona has to offer.

    Relax on your lanai with your morning coffee or evening wine, take a dip in the sparkling pool, or wander down to the ocean a few steps away.

    The space
    Fall asleep to the sound of waves at night. The ocean breeze cools the living room while a portable AC cools the bedroom if needed. This boutique property does not have an elevator, you will need to walk up a short flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. Laundry room is on-site, 1 reserved parking stall. Keypad code required to access the building, access to the unit is by keys inside the lockbox on the door.

The location is great. Condo was clean. However the couch is broken down and uncomfortable to sit on. It would be nice to have a couple of lamps or floor lamp for lower lighting.

The location is excellent, not too far out of town, but far enough to be away from the madness. The view of the crashing waves on the rocks is nice. There was a high surf advisory while we were there, so the surfers were out at the break, which was entertaining to watch. The condo is minimally well equipped and the cookware and appliances were new. There were a few issues and lack of attention to detail that keep me from giving it 5 stars. The bathroom towel rack was not securely fastened into the bracket and fell to the floor upon first touch. There is a glass pane missing from one of the louvered windows in the bedroom. The air conditioning unit in the living room was only taped to the vent and came undone, but we didn’t use the air conditioner. The batteries to the living room fan remote were corroded and had to be cleaned to make it work properly. The sliding screen door to the balcony needed to be lubed in order to slide properly. And just for information, the balcony is not private as the adjacent unit must access the stairway to the pool area in front of the unit. Sounds like I’m nit-picking a bit but potential renters should be well informed.
