Great View!
Great location, everything was clean, the view was amazing!! We would definitely stay again!! Owner needs to update WiFi login and password on instructions.

Thank you for the nice review. Not sure where you saw incorrect information about the wifi network and password. The correct network and password are on the front of the notebook with all the details about the unit, the condo complex and the Big Island. Inside the notebook, there is a section about the wifi with the correct network and password also.

Our Fantastic Family Vacation
Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend Mike's place to friends and family. Mike is great at communication and very organized. The place was very well stocked. We really enjoyed using the boogie boards. We loved dinners on the balcony watching the sunset. The only thing that could be improved was that one of the twin beds was worn out and squeaking badly. Thanks.

Wonderful Vacay at Kona Bali Kai
If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, well-appointed place to stay, look no further! This place has it all. From well-stocked cupboards to sharp knives, from soft towels to comfy beds - there’s nothing funky about this place. I’ve stayed in other units at Kona Bali Kai and this is one of the best. I don’t normally like to eat-in while I’m on vacation, but we enjoyed cooking fresh ahi every other night in this clean, well stocked kitchen. This place is a little gem and I hope it stays this way until I can come back again.

Great view, everything we needed
This place has a wonderful view right on the ocean. From the lanai, we saw morning surfers, several whales on the surface, and sea turtles lazing in the sun. The property is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable Hawaiian vacation. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and efficient. The property was very clean and updated. Parking was simple and restaurants were nearby. Mahalo

Unbeatable View; Great Accommodation!
This condo has everything you could possibly need for a week in Paradise. The cabinets were well stocked with everything from seasonings, to coffee grinder, to tour books, to laundry supplies, etc., etc., etc. And not to mention the view: UNBELIEVABLE! Every evening on the comfortable lanai, watching the sunset. And in the morning, you can watch the surfers. We were a group of three women, and the fact the 2nd bedroom door wouldn’t close b/c the bed is too long, wasn’t a problem, nor would the open door be a problem for a family. The location is ideal. It’s out of the tourists’ main stream, and there’s handy transportation into town. After touring around and being “in town”, this is a welcomed retreat at the end of a busy day. Very, very comfortable for “chillin’”. And the pool is a lovely addition. I hope we can return! Thnx, Mike!

Thanks for the great review! The guest bedroom door closes completely when the bed is against the headboard. But when the bed is pushed against the side wall, the door won't close fully. The bed has been moved back to the correct position so the door will close fully.

Our stay was great. The condo is perfectly situated just south of town. It has a spectacular view, right on the ocean with a spacious and well furnished lanai. The unit is roomy, well furnished with many unexpected and useful features, including in the kitchen. Our expectations were met and exceeded Pre visit communication with the owner was easy and timely. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Unit was as the photos displayed

We Had a Whale of a Time!
If you dislike the sound of pounding surf, spotting countless whales, sea turtles and surfers from your private balcony, this unit is not for you. This was our 18th trip to the islands and our best. We've never seen so many whales. The calves were very entertaining. Mike was great and just a text or phone call away. Everything was as presented. Highly recommended.

Fantastic!!
This unit is well cared for and in a beautiful location. The lanai is fabulous - the view is incredible! When the listing says "crashing waves" they are not kidding. You are right at water's edge looking down at the tidepools and hearing the waves. The owners have thoughtfully provided all that you need for your stay - maps and guides, beach towels, umbrellas, and snorkel gear as well. We would definitely book this unit again.

Beautiful Hawaiian Christmas
Our family of 4 spent a wonderful week in the Kona Bali Kai condo. Incredible location close to beaches, shops, restaurants and tours in the area. Mike’s condo is equipped with everything you need to enjoy the best of Kona. Beautiful views of the ocean activities during the day, gorgeous evening sunsets and sleeping to the sound of the waves. Great vacation!

Just as advertised. The provided gear for water play was so appreciated, and the kitchen was well stocked with spices and basics. Whales, dolphins, and turtles seen from the lanai made our mornings so enjoyable!

Listen to the waves
Very quiet property except for the sound of the waves. So relaxing. We watched the surfers every day from the deck. Very nice kitchen and loaded with all the cooking and eating utensils you’d need. Master bedroom had very comfortable bed. Cable tv and smart tv with your passwords. Ample Parking and great under cover. Condo convenient to grocery stores and restaurants yet quieter than being downtown. Owner good communication. Condo pool not heated and was pretty cold in the mornings. I assume it heated up toward late afternoon. Condo has lots of beach, snorkeling, and flotation equipment. Condo had everything for staying extended time. Could have used more bathroom towels. We had to wash towels more than we wanted. We would definitely stay here again. It was worth the money.

Thanks for the review. The pool is heated by solar panels on the roof of the condo complex and the pool does cool down overnight, but it warms up as soon as the sun is shining.

Beautiful condo right on the beach
We absolutely loved our stay at Mike’s condo. The lanai looks out on surfers and those gorgeous Kona sunsets, and you can watch the turtles right from the balcony. The condo is about 2.5 miles from town, so not walkable, but easily accessible by car. The AC works great; kept the place cool during some rather warm days. We would definitely stay here again.

New home-away-from-home!
Very convenient and comfortable condo that lives up to the listing. Right on the water, and the surf sounds were nature's back drop; the lanai was our favorite spot. Well stocked kitchen with all you need to cook your meals. Full sized washer and drier were very appreciated. Easy and responsive communication from owner. We can't wait to return!

Everything for your comfort
We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return. We took advantage of the lovely lanai where we were just above the ocean. It was wonderful to watch the resident sea turtle in the water below and the water was so clear you could see yellow fish (possibly tangs?) in the water below. The unit was clean and had everything we could have asked for. The bed was comfortable as was the living room furniture. The complex was quiet and friendly. The onsite pool sparkling. No problem parking. Mike, the owner, gave so many references and recommendations in a binder. He also emails you info before the trip so you can have time to plan activities. We swam at the nearby magic sands beach, which was one of the beaches Mike recommended. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, including BBQ equipment. If you want a homey vacation by the ocean, watching the sunset from your lanai every evening, this is your pick of condos!

Right on the ocean! You could throw a stone in from the room if you wanted. The waves seemed gentle but were surprisingly loud. The air conditioner was a life saver during our warm August visit. Quality water gear to borrow. We saw a turtle just out front. We loved it. No EV charging.

Beautiful View
Although this is an older building complex with few amenities, it met our family’s needs quite nicely. The unit was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for a beach stay, including chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels and coolers. The decor was very nice and the lanai was the star of the show. The owner was super responsive to all our questions and needs. We never used the pool once as the ocean was right there. Our last day was best when a large turtle swam right up to the kids near shore!

Beautiful paradise.
I love love love this place. The owner Mile was wondering and extremely nice. We stayed at his place for 3 night and it was the most beautiful place . We got to see gorgeous sunsets and sleep to the sound of the ocean waves. The place is so close to everything. I would definitely stay here again . Wonderful Accommodations, Amazing Vacation!
Our first trip to Hawaii was absolutely perfect during our stay in this fantastic home. Everything was very clean, welcoming, and beautiful. The view from the balcony was undescribable!! We could see the waves breaking on shore!! So relaxing!! Also, with our binoculars, we were able to see many dolphins playing, a variety of colorful fish, and a cute sea turtle! Beautiful views! great location!
This was such an easy process. This rental was easy to find, easy to enter, easy parking, FULLY stocked, and very clean. We loved watching sunsets in the evening and eating meals on outdoor.l table There was an ac but at times it still felt a bit warm. Besides that, everything else was so well thought out and prepared. The location was so convenient for snorkeling all along the coast. We especially loved 2 step beach. We had a great stay!!

Great 4th floor condo. Very clean. Owner was over the top responsive. Nothing but good things to say about experiance. Had a minor issue that was resolved to our satisfaction. Again. The view was fabulous. Location at the heart of everything. Surfers were using the rocks as a launch point and were fun to watch.

The highlight of our trip
Staying at Mike’s well appointed condo with its spectacular view was the highlight of our stay. It had everything we needed — sensible layout, air conditioning, lots of fans, incredible oceanfront view overlooking the sunset, washer and dryer, TV with casting, access to pool and hot tub, access to oceanfront picnic table and BBQ, and parking. It was super helpful that he also had snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, reef shoes, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and everything we needed to enjoy the beach as a family. The beds were also super comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The laundry room even had the same scent free detergent we use at home. We felt right at home. I did have a couple of questions for Mike during our stay, and he was always extremely responsive. Honestly, the place couldn’t have been better, and it really enhanced our stay. Perfect for our family of 4. We would definitely stay again!

Great Stay in KBK 409
We loved the condo. It was beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Wash/Dryer was a bonus. Great to wash the beach towels each night and have them ready each morning for a new adventure. Had no complaints other than the humidity seems to be rusting out the lock. The key was a little tricky to use. Keyless entry pad would have been nice. We would stay here again. We had a great week and couldn't ask for a better view. Mike was a great host and sent lots of information about the island before we arrived. That was a big help.

Waterfront cozy condo
The owner, Mike was awesome. Super responsive to all our questions. He has created a homey, very comfortable place to enjoy the view and beauty of Kona. The complex and unit are older but well maintained , the people are great and the owner has done significant upgrades to make this cozy place very enjoyable. We saw whales, turtles and yellow tang right from our lanai.

Perfect Kona getaway!
We absolutely loved this place! It was probably the most well-stocked condo I have ever rented. It was my boyfriend and I and my two kiddos (ages 5 and 7). Plenty of room, air conditioned, best view in town, tide pools at the beach on site, close to everything in Kona, friendly condo patrons, great pool with plenty of shade and sun depending on what you’re looking for. Absolutely perfect family vacation - we will return! Thank you so much to the owner - made it smooth and easy with lots of suggestions and helpful information about what to do in Kona. I cannot rate this place high enough. If you’re looking for a family getaway in Kona, this is the place for you. Until next time, Mahalo! :)

The view!!
The view from the lanai was spectacular! We saw humpback whales, sea turtles, a huge variety of sea life and not to mention the breathtaking sunsets all from our lanai. Inside the unit was super clean and stocked with everything we needed including the sound of the breaking waves.

Great stay
Truly enjoyed our stay in this condo. Easy access, great views of the ocean and surfers right out our lanai Kitchen well equipped with what we needed to prepare meals. Nice supply of boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach towels and even a cooler! Mike was an awesome host and fast response with communication. I use the trolley for one trip to and from town which really worked out well. It’s free and comes right past the complex

Great Location!
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is prefect. Especially if you like hearing the waves crashing at night. I think the only downside would be if you were to be in the front bedroom because it had noticeable street noise. The owners have just about everything you could possibly need. Paradise with everything you need at your finger tips.
This was our third visit to Kona Bali Kai. We love the property. Mike was great communicating with us and was very accommodating. His unit was very clean and exceeded our expectations.
