âWe had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. âWonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. â

âThe room was beautiful, a bit old style in terms of tech but it was overshadowed by the traditional interior. Itâs a small place, only 8 rooms, however we met 6 persons in charge during our 24 hour stay. It did make it a bit awkward because some of them were super friendly, whereas others didnât keep up. In essence, itâs worth the money but not sure if Iâll stay there again due to the location being far away from the center. â
âQuite a unique experience with traditional Japanese furniture and room layout. The owner clearly put a lot of thoughts in building out this hotel by integrating modern appliances into traditional Japanese house architecture. Beautifully decorated garden. Staff were super helpful.â
