Pros: It's in Mauna Lani resort. This is our third visit to the resort, great access to snorkeling.
Cons: Our least favorite condo so far.
Upon arrival, the condo reeked of insecticide, to the point that we had to open all the windows and air it out for 12 hours. And yet we still had an ant issue and a 6 in long millipede jump-scared me in the kitchen. I am not bug phobic and I understand the tropical insect-rich ecosystem but damn. I think the rear slider doors don't seal properly, as there were also multiple small geckos inside the unit--most alive that we caught in a cup and put outside, some dead. There was also a tear in the screen door, by the handle.
The second bedroom has 2 twin beds, one good and one remarkably uncomfortable.
The bedding linens and towels were marginally acceptable. The beach towels were small and thin, and too few. At this price point, the management company should not be skimping on towels, and it was annoying to have to do laundry so frequently. On the plus side, no one asked us to do multiple loads of laundry to prepare for checkout.
The dishwasher ran but did not clean well. After several frustrating loads that required hand washing, we gave up and used it as a drying rack.
After my initial experience with inquiries to the management company around the insecticide reek, with multiple layers of after-hours triage and nothing to be done about it, I did not choose to spend my vacation time navigating a dishwasher repair complaint.
