The host was also lovely and gave a few local restaurant recommendations to us. It’s about 25-30 minutes walk from the castle & station, although very easy to get taxis if it’s later in the evening. There are a few good coffee shops within 10 minutes walk also. ”

“Location, location, location! The property is located near all tourist locations. 25-30min walk from train station. 5-10 min from castle, gardens and samurai district. There is a beautiful shrine across the street. You’re also less than 5 min walk from the Omicho fish market. The staff were attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend it.”

“We love our stay at Kazueya! It gave us a chance to truly experience the ryokan and how locals live. We especially enjoyed the peaceful night in our surroundings :) In addition, one of the staffs (a young lady) at Pacific hotel was super helpful. Due to the language barrier, she helped me to get bus tickets to shirakawago and to Takayama. I can't thank her enough for that! Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and I've already rated Kazueya 5 stars on Expedia!”

“A truly unique experience. Our gracious hostess, Ms. Fujita, welcomed us with freshly prepared matcha and mochi. The machiya is spacious, spotless, and has very comfortable beds and futons. There are small handwritten cards throughout the house detailing historical information and conservation efforts. The washer/dryer combo works great. The stairs require some agility. The small garden is magical in the rain. It’s a very short walk to either the Omicho market (best seafood!) or the Kanazawa...

“This charming apartment is within walking distance of many attractions and an easy bus ride to others. We loved everything about it except for the steep stairs that lead to the second floor sleeping area. There isn't a bathroom on this floor so it can feel a bit treacherous using the bathroom in the middle of the night. ”

“We liked the layout of the room, the bedding was very comfortable to sleep. This time there were four of us staying in one room for 13 nights and we didn't feel crowded. The kitchen is well equipped so we sometimes cook our own meals. It is not far from Kanazawa station, in a quiet and safe area. Someone will come in to clean the room every four days. We recommend this hotel to our friends.”

"Kom med bil från Tokyo och stannade två nätter. Bra parkering under hotellet. Hotellets läge är perfekt, nära till alla sevärdheter. Rummet stort med breda sköna sängar, badrummet bra storlek med skön dusch, även tillgång till badkar om så önskas. Frukosten var med ett enormt utbud, och riktigt gott. "
