“Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds. Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. Spider life is rampant so staff could pay more...

“Very relaxed place, beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere. Good (but expensive) spa. Great breakfast with everything you want. The a la carte restaurant was good but nothing special, could have wished for more sinse its a 5 star hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights and that was enough. We went to Sigiriya and Kandy by car from here which was pretty easy to access. ”

“Wonderful staff . nothing was too much trouble. Lovely accommodation. Bit difficult for driver to find but very secluded. Only negative was the stray dogs roaming around and 1 in particular sleeping outside our front door.”

“Big spacious room however it was very dark and damp smelling which I think is the location in the forest. The property is a little bit out of town which means you are stuck at the hotel for your meals unless you get a tuk tuk to and from town. It was a beautiful property with a lovely breakfast but I found the staff in the reception not overly friendly or helpful and a little out of the way for the main attractions. ”
