“The hotel is perfectly placed to walk to the temple, lake and market. A 20 min walk of brief tuk tuk ride from the station. Reasonably comfortable bed with a private en-suite. The only issue was that one wall of the room is a floor to ceiling window that looks onto the hallway and lets in light from the hall until it is switched off around 11pm. So maybe ask which rooms might be best if you prefer the dark! Air con very good and warm shower. The food is delicious, both breakfast and dinner....

“Cannot say enough good things about our stay at Pearl House. Both hosts were amazingly welcoming and made us feel right at home by giving us recommendations and tips for getting around. Property may feel long away from the centre but they advised a short cut that made the walk only 10 minutes. Also, the room had AC and a fan which was ideal after hiking all day. Will definitely stay again if visiting Kandy.”

“Der blev afholdt 2 store arrangementer samme dag. Det betød at vi blev vækket med høj musik allerede kl. 7.00. Da der skulle afholdes bryllup ventede vi 1 time på morgenmaden. Det viste sig at der også skulle holdes fødselsdag om aftenen - så der var høj musik til 23.15. Der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset mens vi var der, og der var ikke wifi på værelserne som der er angivet. ”

“Days Inn is located at the top of a hill which means great views but a long walk up! Our bedroom had a little balcony which was nice and the room was clean. Our bathroom had an open drain and did not smell great which was a downside. The breakfast was fresh fruit and eggs with toast each morning which was well prepared, however we were hoping for more traditional style breakfasts! ”

“I would not recommend anyone to stay here ever!! The guy who works in the reception tries to fool you every now and then; like telling you the wrong informations about nearby things, tries to charge you for things you are not supposed to pay for etc. The breakfast that we have paid for (included in our booking) was not good at all. We felt like he just took what he had home that day and served that. The room was poorly cleaned when we arrived, and we had to ask for sheets and towels....

“We had a wonderful stay at the Kandy House. Its location outside the central area allowed us to have a tranquil and restful break from the hustle of the city. Yet, we were still within about a 10 minute drive of the Kandy Lake area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly roomy.
