History:
Designed as the nation’s first suburban shopping district built for cars, the Plaza was the vision of developer J.C. Nichols. Inspired by the architecture of Spanish marketplaces, Nichols began transforming swampy land in 1907. By 1922, the first Plaza buildings opened—earning the area the nickname “Nichols’ Folly.” Today, the Plaza is renowned for its Moorish-style architecture, cobblestone streets, and more than $1 million in public artwork, including fountains, murals, and over 30 statues.

This first floor studio apartment offers a stylish and functional layout, featuring a plush queen bed, small couch and smart TV for relaxing, and a full kitchen outfitted with stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. Coffee lovers will enjoy the enhanced coffee bar, complete with a K-cup maker, milk frother, French press, and pour over.

This protection plan is $45 for all stays under 29 nights, and is included in the cost of your booking. Stays 30-59 nights will be required to pay an additional insurance premium of $305 directly on our website. Stays longer than 59 nights will be separately charged for damage protection extension at the rate of $130/30 days. Please note, guest screening is also required for any bookings made through VRBO or direct. *PARTIES - All gatherings must be limited to 4, this is monitored and guests violating this rule will be charged a mandatory $700 fine. NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.

*PETS - We do not accept pets at this property. There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets.

There is no designated parking for this apartment, all parking is street parking on a first come first serve basis.
Parking may be limited due to unforeseen events at the Plaza and Nelson Atkins Museum nearby.

*CANCELLATION POLICY - Guests can receive a full refund minus processing fees (approximately 4%) if they cancel up to 5 days before check in. No refund will be provided if cancelling less than 5 days before check in.
