We are available 24 hours a day via a phone call, text or email but we do not live on site and will not be on site while guests are in the home.

Midtown Kansas City and the famous Westport area is one of Kansas City’s top entertainment districts. The neighborhood is home to a number of restaurants and bars, including Kelly's Westport Inn, an Irish-themed bar located inside the oldest building in Kansas City. Kelly's inspired the main set of Malcolm & Eddie, a TV sitcom starring Eddie Griffin and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Westport has a lively music scene, with several venues for live musical entertainment.
HOURS: The Westport district is an active neighborhood 24 hours a day. Most bars and restaurants are open until 3 a.m. Check with individual merchants for specific hours.
HISTORY: Westport was first settled by Reverend Isaac McCoy and his family in 1831, along the Missouri River. It was platted three years later, and formally incorporated in February1857. Isaac's son John Calvin McCoy is generally considered the "father of Kansas City" after he formally founded the town and then got his supplies from a rocky point on the Missouri River between Grand and Main Street that later became known as "Westport's Landing." When the landing became popular, young McCoy and other residents banded together to form the "Town of Kansas" company to buy the land.
The community thrived during the mid-1800s as an outfitter for migrants traveling any of the four now-historic trails (Oregon, California, Santa Fe and Lewis & Clark) which went through the area.
After the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 and the Civil War, Westport's role as the starting point for migrants slowly declined, even as nearby Kansas City grew. It was annexed by Kansas City in 1897.
WHERE TO EAT LUNCH: With most of the 30 restaurants, 25 bars and 15 patios located within walking distances, there’s definitely no shortage of unique cuisine in Westport. Many restaurants, such as Cancun Fiesta Fresh, Mario’s Deli and Joe’s Pizza, are open for quick lunches; or sit down with friends and co-workers for lunch at Californos, McCoy’s Public House, Port Fonda and Jerusalem Café.
WHAT’S NEARBY: The Country Club Plaza is a five-minute drive south, and both the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art are within a few miles.
ANNUAL SPECIAL EVENTS: Kansas City's Annual St. Patrick's Day parade has made its mark as one of the largest and most notable parade celebrations of all things Irish in the United States.
An annual art festival in September, Art Westport brings together more than 100 local and regional artists and craftsmen in an atmospheric open-air environment.

Guests will have the entire home to themselves. With this listing only 2 bedrooms will be accessible while the other 3 bedrooms are left unoccupied and locked. Guests will have private use of the home and all common areas including the front porch, backyard and laundry room.

While this spacious property typically features five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, we’re excited to offer a weekday-only option ideal for smaller groups: enjoy access to two large king bedrooms and two full bathrooms, available Monday through Thursday.

This setup is perfect for business travelers, as both bedrooms are equipped with private workspaces and desks to help you stay productive during your stay.

Living Room:
The cozy living room flows effortlessly into the spacious dining area and coffee bar, creating a perfect environment for relaxing, entertaining, or simply unwinding after a day in the city.

Bathroom:
Enjoy full-size bathrooms stocked with Tommy Bahama luxury bath products, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. Each guest will be provided with one large bath towel, one washcloth, and dark makeup towels for added convenience.

Kitchen:
The newly remodeled kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal. Don’t feel like cooking? Let us know—we’re happy to coordinate a personal chef so you can sit back and enjoy! Whether you're hosting a dinner with family or planning a game night with friends, this space won’t disappoint.

Bedrooms:
Both king bedrooms are located on the second floor, featuring plush, comfortable bedding and ample storage space—perfect for those who like to shop while they travel. Also on this level is a large shared bathroom with double sinks and a luxury shower.

Laundry:
A full-size washer and dryer is conveniently located just off the kitchen on the first floor.

Outdoor Space:
Enjoy a grand front porch with comfortable seating, along with a large fenced backyard featuring a firepit and additional outdoor seating—ideal for a cozy evening under the stars.

Technology & Entertainment:
All rooms come with high-speed WiFi, and the TVs are all Smart TVs, allowing you to easily log into your Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime accounts.

Street parking is available on this two-way street, with parking permitted on one side only.

There is a fully fenced backyard and the area is perfect for walking!

Great location and lovely decor

Loved being able to walk to the Filling Station for coffee and across the street to restaurants in Westport (and Sunfresh grocery store)

Cool location and could be a great property

The property just needs some better cleaning and stocking and a bit of electrical work. I wish I could give it a 3.5…because it wasn’t bad…just needs attention. We woke up the first morning to find there was no coffee in the highly promoted coffee bar…and that very few outlets seemed to work. Finding a place to dry our hair or plug in a charger was a hassle. The outlets were falling through the floor and separating from the wall in a couple places which just makes you a little nervous about safety/fire. The manager was responsive until I reported this and the trashed backyard to her. (It seemed no one cleaned that yard for some time, and the fence wasn’t secure so not dog friendly really). This all being said-the house is cute, and she probably just needs to budget in some electrical work and find better cleaners to take care of it. We aren’t upset, but it was a bit less than we expected as a result of those issues. I’m sure it’s very difficult to manage a property with guests coming and going all the time. We did clean and followed all Check out instructions to the letter. We are grateful for having had this place to stay. I imagine she will tighten up the small issues soon.
