“The staff at this hotel are nothing short of incredible. They go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of. We did all the tours with their partner Tuanis Tours and found the guides knowledgeable and fun. All the tours went on a little longer because the guides were determined to make sure we saw all animals possible. They even made the tours enjoyable the few times we got caught in the rain. “Having read a lot of reviews, we expected Pachira Lodge to be a bit tired and for the food to be limited, but we were still disappointed, considering what we had paid for our stay. The setting in the jungle is great and we saw sloths and monkeys from the pleasant pool area. We were unfortunately not made to feel very welcome on arrival - no-one met us off the boat and we struggled to find reception to check in. While clean, the rooms were small and dark with nowhere nice to sit outside....

“The glamping domes are not for those looking for a hotel with all of the amenities. It is glamping. The domes are smack dab in the middle of a forest surrounded by lots of nature. The ocean is steps away with a very private beach. The water was pretty rough in June, but still beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The showers at the domes are cold water only; however, there is a separate hot water shower on the grounds. The zipper and small opening to some of the domes can be difficult to move in...
