Elysium

Elysium

10/10 Fantastiskt
"Elysium is a truly exceptional hotel with beautiful architecture, immaculate grounds and outstanding service. The seafront location is wonderful, and although there’s no sandy beach directly outside, a rocky lagoon with ladder access from the hotel’s jetty offers lovely swimming. Perhaps because we visited during the quieter season, the entire property had a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Our Duplex Suite was spacious, elegant and comfortable, with impeccable daily housekeeping. The food we ordered was excellent, although we never tried the dinner buffet. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection, especially the delicious pastries, but could feel chaotic during peak hours. A few details need attention: the scrambled eggs were dry and crumbly rather than creamy, the bacon was disappointing, and the popular strawberries and blueberries were served in tiny bowls that were constantly empty. Better replenishment would help. The terrace was a highlight, with beautiful sunsets, live music and phenomenal service. The cocktails, however, lacked some finesse. Several were overly diluted and served with ordinary machine ice. Better flavour balance and quality ice would elevate the experience. Above all, the staff deserve enormous praise. Their professionalism, warmth and attentiveness were consistently exceptional. These are minor criticisms of an otherwise outstanding hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!"
