“Hotellet har ett mycket bra läge. På anläggningen finns flera olika pooler, barer, lekparker samt restaurang. Hotellets miljö är i en djungel som är väl omhändertagen å underhållen så parkområdet blir enkelt att vara i. Vi bodde i thermal room, då har man dessutom en egen värmekälla utanför sitt rum. Vi bodde här för 7 år sen sist, och kommer definitivt tillbaka.”

“Uncomfortable beds, exceptionally bad Wi-Fi (only available in reception and restaurant), unappetizing and expensive food, and quite often (but not always) bad service. We were 6 people touring Costa Rica for 2 weeks, and this hotel (stayed three nights) is the only truly negative part on our otherwise fantastic trip.”

“Everything was great and the staff was really nice. They ran out of coffee though. :( We're early risers and were working in the mornings. That part was a bit tough but everything else was great! ”

“Naturreservatet med regnskog är mycket fin. Direktområdet kring hotellet har drabbats av orkanen men hotellets skick är okej. Rummet är mycket enkelt men okej. Ät helst inte i hotellets restaurang, men åk en bit in till byn till en mycket bra och billig "Soda" istället.”

“Bra läge och fantastisk hemlagad mat. Om det är okej med lite enklare standard på boendet så är det här stället en lugn oas. Missa inte deras egna pool i Rio Celest. Ett fantastiskt ställe.”

“A great choice in this area for a budget property. Room was very clean, staff was friendly. We were entertained in the morning by a troop of Capuchin Monkeys while eating the included breakfast.”

“The space was really beautiful and was everything we needed. I was facilitating a wellness retreat and the large room was perfect for our participants and activities. The rooms were great and so was the space. My only recommendation is to make it clear in the posting that the swimming pool and labyrinth area is located in another part of the location of the property and is not walkable to get to. Thank you.”

“Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüsst. Die Finca ist eine Kakoplantage und deswegen abgelegen. Wenn du das Gefühl hast, dass du falsch abgebogen bist, dann bist du richtig. ;) Die Zimmer sind modern und sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Bilder entsprechen genau der Wirklichkeit. Zum Essen gibt es was es gibt. Costaricanisch und sehr fein. Einziger Punkt zum verbessern: Die sehr interessante Führung durch die Finca bereits am Vorabend durchführen, weil je nach Reisepläne passt die Führung um 08.30 Uhr...

“The hotel is right on the lake & very nice facility with balcony overlooking lake. free parking & plenty of hot water. The restaurant on the property was very good. The owner was helpful with things to do in the area.”

“I am giving a 5 star to the owner for trying to help, but unfortunately only a 2 stars for the property. The bedding and bathroom were clean and good. The description and the pictures are extremely misleading. There are no 3 Queen Beds and 1 Twin bed, but 2 twin beds. There is no internet in the bedroom, and even in the: "main lodge open room” internet is only connected when the owner connects it via his phone (tethering), and I suppose that he must have a limited amount of data as the internet...

“We loved our stay at casa Rio Familia. The house was equipped with more than we needed. Great snacks and wine and beer plus sodas. The property is quiet and private yet close to everything. Many amazing birds and the gardens in the front are gorgeous. Definitely stay more than one night. Johnny the guide Rick and Ashley recommended was great and reasonably priced.”

“The hotel owners are exceptional human beings, Yves and Siri are caring and down to earth. The chef Yves cooked some extraordinary meals for us using all organic and natural herbs. The staff is really helpful. The pool size is good. I recommend this hotel if you like nature and good food😊 Breakfast included. Price was adequate.”
