“Very nice cottage that is well equipped for large groups and has a large open lawn. Host insisted on communicating outside the VRBO platform and had a large list of rules and additional contracts for the rental and the hottub. ”

“Stayed at Eganridge 5 years ago. It has gone from a 5 star to a 2 star and was very disappointing. Even the dining room did not meet previous experience. Food had to be sent back twice. Pictures on vrbo were not of the cabin we stayed in. Flooding and sewage back up in our cottage meant we had to move to another cottage. Staff was pleasant but did not seem motivated to solve a variety of issues.”

The property had a “for sale” board outside, which was unexpected and gave the place an odd first impression. The biggest problem was that there was no water for about three hours, and despite reaching out, we didn’t receive any response from the host during that time. “Bathroom floors and vanity not clean, sheets on one bed seemed damp, back porch was not clean, many days not clean, sliding doors had cobwebs at all corners, no screen door here, steps from parking to door in very poor, dangerous condition, kayaks were not cleaned off and made ready for use. This cottage had not been made ready for guests. Concerned that vrbo is advertising for unkept property. We wasted time, money, dreams of a wonderful weekend ruined!!”
