“The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. “Tombeck was nice, roomy, comfortable. Had a large kitchen fully stocked with cookware, oven, stove, kettle, microwave. We liked the large wooden dining table. A great place from which to explore Tomintoul and the Cairngorms. Also has a washing machine and dryer, but no instructions so took some time to figure them out (and the washing machine makes a loud noise and really shakes while running).”

"Det var fantastiskt lyxigt att kunna välja alternativet att få frukosten till rummet. Fräscha och rikliga alternativ. Möblerna i restaurangen och puben var väldigt tråkiga, inte någon mysfaktor alls. Den lilla trädgården var däremot mysig men vi hade tur med vädret annars hade det alternativet inte funnits."

"Very nice place and people running it. We had a spacious and spotless room on the topfloor. We had dinner at the hotel, fish & chips, some chicken and a tasty chantarelle sandwich, all very tasty. We can also recommend the desserts. The village was small, sleepy but nice to stroll around. Some pubs and restaurants, we didn’t try them. A Coop and some small nice shops, we visited a fishing-shop at High street with a service-minded owner. There is a museum but we didn’t visit it."

"Ett helt klart bra hotel som tyvärr ligger i en trött by. Man vill ha ett bra hotel mred bra mat och bra säng, vilket vi fick. Det ända negativa som vi upplevde var trafiken utanför fönstret. Vi var tvingade till att ha öppet då det var så varmt vilket tyvärr gjorde att trafiken störde enormt. Vi hade rum 204. "
