“The road to the property is very bad. If driving, you need an SUV ora 4 wheel drive. We were the only guests and hence the property was empty. Despite that, they gave a room right at the entrance of the property, next to the security office, with limited view of the garden. “Stenhårda sängar. Lyhörda rum. Hemska drinkar och viner. De två restaurangerna som krävde bokning hade jättedålig mat. Bufférestaurangen var väldigt bra dock. Servicen varierade väldigt mycket, några var supertrevliga men de flesta rätt så passiva. Servicen var även väldigt trög, trots stor personalstyrka. Städning av rum varierade också men över lag helt ok. Vi skulle säga att standarden va mycket lägre än förväntat. I sociala medier och på bilder kändes hotellet mycket lyxigare.”

"I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Sapphire and truly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight was the location and breath-taking view of Mombasa town, which added a special touch to my visit. Waking up to the beautiful city scenery and enjoying the views from the room was a memorable part of my stay. The room provided a peaceful and comfortable environment, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep after a busy day. The attention to cleanliness, comfort, and detail was exceptional. The hotel’s spa was another highlight of my stay. It provided a calm and relaxing atmosphere, with excellent treatments and professional service that helped me unwind and rejuvenate. The spa experience complemented the overall comfort of the hotel and made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptional, welcoming, and always ready to assist with genuine kindness and professionalism. Their friendly attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help with any request made me feel valued and well cared for throughout my stay. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, excellent hospitality, a relaxing spa experience, and beautiful views of Mombasa town. I would gladly return for another stay in the future."

Voyager Beach Resort

"We stayed 3 nights at Voyager and we loved it. We have traveled quite a lot in Africa and this hotel was the best one yet. The room was clean and newly renovated. No bugs. Staff was very helpful. A special thanks to Shadarak who even helped us book our traintickets when our MPesa did not work. Food was delicious. We had the all inclusive package, which included breakfast, lunch, dinner, free drinks and at any time you can order things from the snackbar. Beach is beautiful, with incredible white sand. But keep in mind there is also corals and rockbed that can be sharp. It might be a good idea to use bathing shoes if you want to cross the rocks during low tide. Those are also sold in the hotel gift shop. The hotel was a bit difficult to reach via the hotels.com app (don’t know if the issue was from the Voyager side or the app side) so make sure you contact them in time if you need pickup from the airport. But all in all, this was a wonderful place that we highly recommend!"

"The rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was sumptuous. Lots of choices and good service. Excellent front desk staff. The reception area could use a renovation/repaint and some better lighting. Thankfully that is not a requirement for the excellent rooms. The restaurants on the property and the waterside bar are of disappointing quality. This wouldn’t be an issue if there were good restaurants within walking distance. Overall, the hotel is good value. "
