Rose Bank Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms

  • The lounge has windows to the front and patio doors to the back allowing lots of light into the lounge and dining areas. The lounge has patio doors leading to the patio and garden areas where you can sit and enjoy the lovely Lakeland views.

    The kitchen has electric oven & gas hob, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is also a breakfast table and chairs. From the kitchen there is a small utility/drying area with a washer/dryer and space for coats and boots.

    The main bathroom is on the ground floor and has bath, WC and wash hand basin and is decorated in Laura Ashley prints.

    Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The twin bedroom has two single beds, wardrobes, drawers etc. and also has an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and cupboards and the third bedroom has a single bed, wardrobe, drawers etc and views towards Skiddaw. All rooms are dressed in luxury linen and towels.

    There is private parking on the driveway, and a large garden with patio furniture to the back of the cottage. The garden is very private and backs onto fields and fells. This is a perfect place to get away from town but yet be within easy walking to the shop, local restaurant and pubs which all serve food.

Lovely cottage in Braithwaite

Rosebank is a very clean, comfortable cottage. Lovely views across to the hills at the back & pheasants & lots of birds visit the garden.Very handy for the Coledale Inn, & the Royal Oak & 5 minutes in the car to Keswick if you want to try something different like Thai food at the the Star of Siam. We have stayed there frequently & will definitely go again. Many thanks.

Cosy Cottage

We had a wonderful stay with our dogs. It is a lovely fully equipped cosy cottage with great views. It’s is in a lovely spot of Braithwaite. The only warning is to be VERY careful leaving the drive as it’s on a blind bend in both directions on a single car road. The garden is lovely and I imagine it will be beautiful to sit outside in Summer.

Last minute booking

The cottage is in a very good location nearer to all the good walks and Keswick town. We stayed with young kids and the cottage is perfect for family of 4 or 5. I would definitely book again this place in the future.

Brilliant place to stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at Rosebank the place was immaculate. The little touches of fresh flowers , welcome pack for us and our dog was very much appreciated. Even hand wash in both bathrooms and kitchen we usually take our own as none usually provided , plenty of dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid everything thought of . Kitchen was well equipped , comfortable beds and plenty hot water . We loved seeing the wide variety of birds that visited the garden especially the pheasants. The views beautiful and plenty of walks straight from the door

Lovely cottage with amazing views.

Lovely cottage, easy walking into village for food and buses. Lots of lovely walks from the door. Parking for two cars, tight but ok. Problem with log burner but sorted quickly. Nice garden with views.

Summer break

Very comfortable cottage in a good location close to Keswick . Particularly enjoyed the lively back garden with country views and a sun trap patio. Good to have a safe garden for our dog and walks from the house . Would definitely book again

We had a lovely stay at Rose Bank Cottage,even though the wood burner was not working.The village is lovely,staff in the shop and the Royal Oak pub were very friendly,and the food was good.The views from the cottage were fantastic.In the kitchen you could do with a fish slice,but everything else was very good.We will definitely be back.Thankyou.

Short Break

Beautiful location and a perfect place to get away from it all, cottage was clean and well provisioned, wood burner was a welcome addition and needed after some long walks. Great for a short break.

Rose Bank Cottage is in a nice location in the village close to the pubs and bus stop. This was our second visit and again we were not disappointed, very clean and well presented cottage with everything we needed for our holiday.

Lovely cottage in a great spot

This is a lovely little cottage with off street parking big enough for a large car. Also has a secluded and secure garden for the dogs. The location was perfect for meeting up with friends staying in their motor home in the village. We will definitely return!

Lovely comfy cottage in a beautiful location.

We have stayed at Rose Bank Cottage a few times now. Perfect location for walking, plus buses to other walks, into Keswick, etc. so can leave the car at cottage all week if you want. Eating out at Coledale Inn is an easy walk with the dog. Nice big garden for the dog, with plenty of birds for her, unfortunately, to bark at. Comfy beds at the end of the day. All you could need.

Cosy cottage with fabulous views.

Rose Bank Cottage is cosy and welcoming. We stayed for a week at Easter and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a roast dinner. The back garden was lovely, with stunning views of the fells and the cottage itself is only a short walk to the centre of the village with all its amenities. A lovely place to stay!

Fabulous stay at Rose Bank

We had a great week at Rose Bank for my wife's 60th birthday. Our children and our granddaughter came and the cottage was perfect for us. Braithwaite is a lovely place to stay. Would definitely recommend. many thanks

Very comfortable and clean

Rosebank cottage was spotlessy clean, very well equipped and comfortable. It's a lovely bright property and has a wonderful private garden, which catches the evening sun. We loved our stay here and will defintely return. Brilliant base for exploring the fells. You can walk from the doorstep and leave the car behind. Great value for money,

Comfortable Cottage with Fabulous Outlook

Just home from a wonderful week of gorgeous weather in the Lake District. And what better place to spend it than Rose Bank Cottage in Braithwaite! This is a lovely, comfortable cottage, beautifully presented with a fabulous outlook onto farmland and fells. Inside the cottage is well equipped with everything you might need but our favourite part is the back garden: relaxing out there morning and evening makes a perfect topping to our walking holiday.

Caution needed on exiting car onto the narrow, busy Newlands Road. Cottage a delight - spotlessly clean, compact, well equipped, comfortable and warm. Owners, next door, very helpful. Enjoyed the week so much that I have re-booked for 2024.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area

A lovely cottage with great views and everything we needed for your stay. We didn't book until the day before but everything was ready for us (thank you), other than the tablet with guest instructions which had gone flat but soon came up and is a great idea - much better than bits of paper. The cottage is well-equipped, everything worked and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Braithwaite village shop is a short walk away. With great walks from the door but still close enough to Keswick, the Cumbrian coast and northern / western lakes there is really nothing to dislike here. Hugely recommended and hoping to visit again.
