The road comes to an abrupt stop, the rest of it was destroyed in a hurricane years ago but you can park there and walk out. The beach is secluded and quiet, except when the Navy is holding flight practices. The planes are so close, you can see the pilots!

Overall great stay

Comfortable home and floorplan for my family. Not pleased with the cleanliness of the floors upon arrival, and a few kitchen items that were not clean. Pool area is beautiful and the beighborhood and home felt very safe.

Review of house

Everything was clean and the house is well equipped with plates, cutlery and a few beach items. However the dishwasher didn't work. The upstairs balcony was out of order. The couches and mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. The tumble dryer was not working properly until we checked the filter and there was so much lint accumulated I am surprised there hasn't been a fire. The pool is full of adults getting drunk and high. Not kid friendly at all. It was an ok stay but will not be going back. For the price charged a much higher standard was expected. There was no warning or discount given for any of the issues faced.

Overall was an okay stay. The good: close to all the attractions (10-15min drive) easy to get in and neighborhoods were kind. Pool decent size. 3 bathrooms is a plus with all grown people. The bad: cobwebs everywhere and dusty. The college half ironing board needs to go. It should be a full size. The wifi zapped out and didn’t come back on until late the NEXT day. The floor is not leveled and the flooring is spaced in the downstairs bedroom and lifting in the downstairs bathroom. Weak water pressure in the downstairs bathroom too. There needs to be instructions on how to turn on the lights/fans. 1 worked with a pull one worked with the wall buttons one worked with a hidden remote. The skillet was so scratched up, i felt embarrassed for the property owner. Provide better pans. Lastly that washer was a decnet size. We could fit the 4 towels in but the dryer is WAY TOO SMALL!! We had to dry 2 towels at a time and multiple times. Unacceptable. This is the 1st trip I've taken where i didnt, well couldnt do laundry...

Hemingway Hideaway

First time I used the type of vacation rental so I was a little nervous. I planned the trip for my extended family. Biggest hit was that every bedroom had it's own bath. House lives up to the video walkthrough. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. I would stay there again.

Great...but

Overall the property was great. But, the first floor shower was leaking very bad. The bath matt and towel were soaked. Water pressure or lack of. Pool keys, only one one set worked of the 2. And last the kitchen was missing a spatchler to pancakes.

Ok but tired

Pros: nice quiet place, gated community, lovely pool area Cons: pool had a locked gate which was a pain if our group split with the key, the house itself was in a poor state of repair with quite a few things going wrong during our stay. It feels like there is a lot of rotten wood around including the steps to the property (one of which dislodged exposing nails when I was walking up with suitcases), the downstairs shower leaked with water all over the floor, the door where the pool towels are fell off when I opened it, the batteries for the a/c unit failed causing it to stay on to 60 degrees (freezing), the upstairs balcony looked like it was coming away from the support (we didn’t use it), some of the ceiling fans didn’t work - those that did work couldn’t be turned off (again it was cold at night) and I couldn’t get the tv to work. I did raise these issues with the agent and they did send a guy to fix the outside step (which was the most dangerous item) but none of the other faults were addressed during our stay nor did they acknowledge them. The place is lovely but really does need some serious structural renovation work and a bit more attention to detail.

Great place except for bathroom downstairs.....

The condo was neat, clean and comfortable for our 4 night stay. However the bathroom for the downstairs bedroom had mildew in the shower and a tile came loose at the bottom. Also the toilet was loose from the floor. The ceiling fan in the bedroom also stopped working the second night. Overall it was a pleasant stay with just these few exceptions.

Below Expectations

I would not stay at this property again. The issues... Fire Alarm went of multiple times for no reason. We called and they sent a tech out who said hed be back with new ones. Never came back, and then we could not get the alarms to beep even when testing. Im not saying they were disabled, but im not *not* saying they were. The bathroom downstairs had tiles falling into the shower with voids behind them and some mold growth behind it. It appears to be an on going issue. The TV in the main room is about the size of an IPAD, the TV upstairs is an old tube TV that half works. This unit is directly across from a Pepsi distribution center and its noisy early in the AM. Overall, this is a budget type rental where the owner invests nothing into it but charges a premium price. We went down with family and had rented 2 other units in the development. Those units cost less and were in much better condition. The community pool was very nice. I would stay in this community again, but not this particular unit.

Overpriced and underwhelmed

The place was clean on arrival, but that’s the only positive thing I can say. The appliances are all in disrepair, and we found out the management company is aware of the problems and did not notify us prior to arrival. This was especially aggravating because our family of 5 packed with the expectation of having access to a washer/dryer that has not been working for months. Additionally, the stovetop only has 2 working burners, the oven door doesn’t close, and the refrigerator leaks water all over the kitchen floor. But the worst part is the whole house smoke alarm that goes off intermittently for no reason. At least 7 times during our stay the ear piercing alarm woke us up, kept us up, or drove us out of the house. And then there were the cockroaches … This property is overpriced and underwhelming.

Great stay for Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed the house during our stay! Parking was right out front of the house. The heated pool was amazing and quiet. We also really loved watching the roasters and hens around the neighborhood! That was definitely interesting to watch. No complaints here. We’ll be back next year!!

Not as good as others in Coral Hammock

I expected that the issues raised in the previous reviews would have been taken care of- but they were not. Washer broken (had to go out to do laundry). Appliances poor, oven door broken, tiles falling out in shower, floor seems warped/ damaged in first floor Bathroom. Refrigerator leaks. Not much in the way of cups/cooking utensils. Burner out on cook top. All of these issues have been mentioned in previous reviews. I called for maintenance and never received a return call. Will not stay here again. Not what I am used to when staying at Coral Hammock. This is my 5-6 stay in complex. First time I have had issues

Poorly maintained

1) refrigerator leaked water daily. 2) floors were dirty and left your bare feet black after walking around on them. 3) no broom and cleaning products there to use. 4) washing machine didn’t work. It wasn’t repaired during our stay because they had to order the parts. So we asked housekeeping to bring us fresh towels midweek but they never did. 5) flooring in a down stairs bathroom had a damaged area the could hurt bare feet.

Clean and spacious

We have stayed at this complex multiple times, but this was our first time in this particular unit. It was very clean and spacious. Plenty of towels were provided, as well as oversized beach towels, which was appreciated. In terms of location, I prefer to stay in a unit facing the pool. This one faced the road, which wasn't a surprise (accurately described/pictured). With our last minute booking, we were happy to have found this available. Vacasa manages the unit and their customer service was great.

Sisters/Cousins Trip

Property was spacious and in a great location, about a 14 minute car ride to Duvall Street. House does need some cosmetic updating: bedroom TVs should be updated to flat screen, living room TV should be larger, bed skirts and covering should be updated, rug in living room looks worn and dirty, shower curtains need updating, curtain in upstairs twin bedroom is torn. Light fixtures covers on ceiling fans in living room and dining room should be changed from frosted covers to allow more light.

Great Location!

Nice property in a great location! Close to Key West and worked great for our fishing trip. Recommend staying here if you are headed to Keys.
