“We enjoyed having our “own” cabin. It was a duplex but felt like your own space. We were right by the playground, which my kids loved! We ordered food from the restaurant twice while we were there and it was good! It was a convenient location for our visit to Badlands & Mt. Rushmore. We also enjoyed having our own patio to sit outside and hangout.”

“Canyon Lake Resort is rather old, but well taken care of. Clean and comfortable I've visited quite a few dodgy hotels around the US where ones have let the interiors deteriorate, this was certainly not the case here even though some of the furniture could do with an upgrade. The rice was rather steep for our visit, in July 2018, but other hotels in the area were even more expensive.”

“We had no idea where to stay and when I came across pictures of this lodge I knew this was it. We arrived and we were greeted by Deb as we were checking the place out before we went to look for our room. Very sweet lady! It was soooo relaxing to come back at night after our adventures to relax on the front porch! Don’t hesitate book this lodge now!! We will definitely be back!”

“This spot had everything to make my stay comfortable and welcoming. It is the perfect location to explore the area and the room and home was both luxurious and homey feeling all at the same time.
