Discover the peace and natural beauty of rural Norfolk at The Shepherd’s Hut, a brand-new, high-spec hideaway set in the quiet hamlet of Eastmoor. Surrounded by open fields, rolling farmland, and big open skies, this tranquil setting is perfect for couples seeking rest, romance, and a true connection with nature. The calm, open landscape offers a restorative escape, shaped by birdsong, fresh air, and uninterrupted countryside views.
Perfectly positioned to explore the very best of the region, the hut sits just a short drive from the magnificent Oxburgh Estate and Oxburgh Hall, a 15th-century moated manor set within woodland, gardens, and scenic parkland walks. The wider area is filled with beautiful routes through heaths, forests, and meadows, while the Norfolk Coast offers sandy beaches, wildlife-rich reserves such as Snettisham and Titchwell Marsh, and charming harbour villages. Nearby market towns—including Swaffham and King’s Lynn—provide historic streets, independent shops, local produce, and plenty of welcoming cafés and pubs. Right from your doorstep, you can enjoy peaceful country walks, bike rides, and scenic drives through quiet lanes and open countryside.
Guests may also book private sessions at the indoor heated swimming pool located just opposite the hut within the grounds—an indulgent treat after a day of exploring, and available in addition to the stay.
Inside, the Shepherd’s Hut has been thoughtfully designed for comfort, warmth, and relaxed simplicity. The open-plan living area features a cosy wood-burning stove, a well-equipped kitchenette with a gas hob and fridge freezer, and a stylish breakfast bar for two. The raised double bed not only provides a restful night’s sleep but also offers unspoiled views over the rolling hills, and is complemented by a smart TV for cosy evenings in. The modern shower room includes a high-pressure shower and a proper flushing toilet, bringing boutique comfort to this rural retreat.
Step outside into your private enclosed garden, complete with a wood-fired hot tub, outdoor seating, and wide panoramic views across the fields—an idyllic spot for watching sunsets, stargazing, or enjoying slow mornings with coffee. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and the enclosed garden makes it especially convenient for pet owners.
Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or complete relaxation, The Shepherd’s Hut offers a peaceful and beautifully situated base from which to enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer.
The Shepherd’s Hut can also be booked alongside Hill House (UK49727) to accommodate up to 8 guests.
