“Spent a lovely few days at the Hobbit Cottage. It has a dog friendly garden and it is a short walk to Kames Bay. You can access the Cathedral of the Isles from the end of the cul-de-sac which takes less than 5 minutes. The cottage is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. June, our host, was very attentive and you only had to ask if you needed anything.”

“Excellent little cottage located in a quiet hamlet. The beautiful weather enhanced our holiday. Many an evening was spent relaxing by the stream in the garden. Perfect for our dog too. The beach is just across the road, and was usually empty so we had it to ourselves most of the time.Great kitchen facilities and cozy living areas. Communication was quick and informative.We hope to return again in the future.”

“The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge.
