âWe had an amazing stay it exceeded our expectations. Stayed in the Camelia Suite overlooking the outdoor pool. It had an outdoor terrace with seating.
Sunday lunch was the best weâve ever tasted and the breakfast was good produce and very tasty.
All of the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
A special mention to Stuart on reception and Happiness and Mia in the restaurant. The bar staff were really good too but sadly I didnât note their names.
The whole place is immaculate...
âThe hotel was probably very nice 100 years ago. It is still charming but in need of A total renovation. The hotel is old, worn and neglected, but unfortunately the rooms are also dirty. Cobwebs and dust. Torn sheets and flies in the bathroom. It smells more or less everywhere. Unfortunately there is a lot of seagulls that pooped down the windows and they have nests outside. Nice and helpful staff in the reception, especially Barbara. The breakfast was not great. Manny who lived at the hotel...
âThe reception employees were not service minded during check in and out. I arrived at 11 am and asked about the possibility of early check in (anytime before 15:00 even paid for). The receptionist asked for my name and once I gave it, the reply was No, it's fully booked even though:
- he didn't even check.
- a couple that he helped before me got to check in.
- when I came back in the evening and asked for a floor fan, the evening receptionist said he'd look for any available in the "unoccupied...

âThe hotel staff made the holiday, nothing was too much trouble, they were friendly and helpful, had good local knowledge of interesting places to visit too. The room had a sea view which was lovely to wake up to, it was warm, clean and comfortable. â
âJust a one night away trip with a couple of days coastal walking. Very smart pub with rooms. In a superior room with high quality fixtures and fittings, very comfortable. Staff all very friendly with an excellent dinner menu and very good breakfast. Only minor issue was how quick dinner service was - would have preferred to have spent longer over our meal. Starter arrived very quickly and the main arrived before we had even finished our starter ! As I say however a minor issue in the overall...
âWe srarted our short stay with Sunday lunch, which was very good - plenty of vegetables which suits us. We then checked in with a very helpful young lady on reception. The room was spacious, with stunning views over Robin Hood's Bay. We're looking forward to breakfast as we've stayed here before and know how good it is. I'm already looking at the calendar with a view to booking our next visit.â
