“Lovely vintage cottage with little touches that make you enjoy the stay. Like a dark washcloth that says Makeup!, paper cups in bathroom and coffee pods, sugar and creamers. Everything you need. One suggestion, driveway is on a curve and easy to miss! May want to slow way down at you pass 830 mailbox as 838 is coming soon!”

“Overall this property is in a great spot with easy beach access. The house is a bit dated but everything was clean and in proper working order.”

“It was our second year at the house. It is cozy and as described. Nice, private neighborhood and beach. It could use new appliances and a more thorough cleaning but we had a great stay overall. We will be back next year!”

“The location was perfect - right on the beach and close to everything. The home was cozy and perfect size and layout for a family. It was just my husband and I this time around, but we would be very comfortable there with our four adult children. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home!”

“House is great although it could have used a better cleaning. Screen doors will not stay in place, they fall out when opening. Terrible problem with ants in kitchen and downstairs table and bedroom. You cannot place food on counters. Actually found a couple ants in my car when I got home. I would definitely stay there again but the house just needs some work.”

“Very old and dark. Clean. I mistook the two minute walk to the beach to mean it was on the beach. Couldn’t hear or see the ocean from this house.”

“First thing was when we got there we had to wait 45 minutes to get into the house. Whoever is in charge of updating the keypad lock did not do so and we had to wait for after hours maintenance to give us another code. Check in is at 5 when the rental company office is closed. Photographs of the house make it look cleaner and nicer than it really is. The window sill by the front door was falling apart with what appears to be black mold or mildew which we didn't notice till the end since we kept...

“The home was very clean and organized. The community was quiet and relaxing and we were very close to two beaches. Hillcrest Beach is our new fav spot. As a family it was nice to have puzzles, games and books during our down time between activities. Definitely recommend and everything was in order. Also communication of needed information from owners was very much appreciated. Could not have asked for a better beach experience.”

“House is perfect for a family vacation. The short walk to the beach is great. The pool is relaxing. Paul is really good about returning emails and answering any questions.”

“Location location location! We rented this place last minute with 2 dogs in tow. The proximity to the beach is less than a block with a public access at the end of the street. The house is older and amenities basic, but for us it was just right.”

“The only issue we had was with the little burrs (I guess that’s what’s their called) that kept finding their way inside the property. Very painful to step on. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay here in Kitty Hawk.”
