  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Very simply, its a super nice condo that is conveniently located. Its a quick drive to anywhere you'd want to go in the area and the owner is very quick to respond to any questions.

Property was nice and clean but lacking in furniture, had to basically live out of my suitcase since there are no dressers in the bedrooms to put clothes in and only a couch and chair in the living room and the couch was uncomfortably hard. Condo was decorated with all ikea furniture owner was extremely responsive which was very much appreciated my biggest problem was the location we had to drive everywhere that’s our fault should have done more research

Great stay with everything you could need

Our stay was great, the hosts were responsive/helpful with any questions when we reached out. The property was very clean and had many amenities we weren’t expecting like beach towels, chairs, coolers, umbrellas and sunscreen. The property was very clean and felt very cozy and was in a great location with many restaurants just a couple minute drive away. The pool was also a short walk across the street and was great for the days we didn’t want to bring everything to the beach. Another added bonus is it is child friendly and pet friendly so the whole family can enjoy their stay. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Very nice place. The unit was clean and quiet. The new steps were great! We didn’t get to use the pool but we did get to see it at least. We wished it was closer to the unit but it wasn’t too far of a walk although we drove over. We enjoyed the place.

Enjoyable stay

Overall we enjoyed our time at the condo. I didn’t realize it was on the second floor. My fault for not noticing. Two in our group had trouble navigating the stairs. Stairs need to be repaired. Very unstable. Inside was very nice and beds were comfortable.

Awesome Spot

The condo is beautifully set up, super clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need -- my favorite aspect was the little outdoor patio space, great for low key nighttime relaxation. Perfect spot for couples traveling together, super close to good food spots. Beach is semi-walkable distance but easier as a 1-2 min drive. Great privacy and super easy to access. No complaints at all, would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a low key, private, relaxing OBX beach trip.
