Large unit with ocean views & countless amenities, just short walk to the beach!

  • Just Beachy is a well-maintained unit with ocean views, sound views, and tennis court views. This ideal family vacation spot features games, books and private WiFi should you need to do a little work while away. Endless community amenities will keep the family entertained from sun up to sun down!

    Barrier Island Station offers fantastic community amenities for your family's enjoyment. The community complex includes handicapped beach access, an outdoor pool and kiddie pool with poolside bathrooms and outdoor showers, a snack bar, a new rec center with an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and exercise area, a playground, tennis courts‚ a pickleball court, a volleyball court, 1/2 basketball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes, tetherball, a grilling area, 2 electric car charging stations, and coordinated children's activities in-season. Relax inside one of the beach gazebos and listen to the sounds of the sea, or head to the waves for fun in the sun!

    For 2026, the outdoor community pool will be available from late May to the end of October. The community pool is not heated.

    For your convenience, sheets, towels, and bedmaking are provided.

    There is no elevator available at this unit or building.

    Just Beachy is not pet-friendly for the remainder of 2026 but will begin allowing pets in 2027, with additional pet fee.

    Parking at this complex is first come first serve. For the electric car charging stations, the price is $1.50/hour. Please be courteous and move your vehicle after charging. If your car is not electric, be sure to not park in these spaces to avoid being towed.

    Ground Level: Entrance, queen bedroom with a TV, pyramid bunk bedroom with a TV, full hall bath with a tub/shower combo.

    Mid Level: Living area with a TV and a sliding door to the covered deck, a door to a private deck with sound views, electric fireplace, dining area for 8, kitchen with island and 4 bar stools, half hall bath.

    Top Level: King en suite with a TV and a private deck with views, full bath with a shower/tub combo.

    Loft: Queen bedroom, half bath, private deck access with ocean views.

The home was not clean when we arrived. The main level carpet had not been vacuumed, the sleeper sofa was pulled out and could not be put back, an electrical outlet had a broken cover, the showers were filled with mildew, two towel rods were broken, there were holes and dirty walls, and the toilet had fecal streaks in it (which did, thankfully, flush easily). There was food left in the refrigerator and on the counter; the microwave, oven, and dishwasher were dirty; the washer made the lower level smell like mildew; sand was caked around the dryer; and several lampshades had mildew on them.I reported all of this immediately. Sun Realty sent a team to vacuum and put the couch back together, but the walls and appliances were not cleaned and the food remained.I requested a partial refund. Several weeks later, the only response I received stated that “a refund is not approved and totally not warranted when a guest experiences minor maintenance issues on arrival.”Individually, these may be minor issues. Taken together, they represent a property that was not properly cleaned or maintained before our arrival and was well below the standard I have come to expect from VRBO rentals in Duck. I am disappointed both in the condition of the property and Sun Realty’s response after the issues were promptly documented and reported. When making a booking, you weigh the price with the quality of the home. I found that home does not fit its price.
