RX OBX PRN is a beautiful downstairs unit with horizon ocean views just 410 feet to the beach access!

Guests will enjoy a 55" Smart TV in the living area, as well as private WiFi. This well-cared-for unit will make you feel like you have found your home away from home. Spend beautiful days on the ocean, lounge at the community pool or sit on the deck taking in the ocean breeze. Need a break from all that relaxing? Take a stroll or a bike ride into the town of Duck. Enjoy amazing restaurants, unique shopping and beautiful scenery.

Barrier Island Station offers fantastic community amenities for your family's enjoyment. The community complex includes handicapped beach access, an outdoor pool and kiddie pool with poolside bathrooms and outdoor showers, a snack bar, a new rec center with an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and exercise area, a playground, tennis courts‚ a pickleball court, a volleyball court, 1/2 basketball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes, tetherball, a grilling area, 2 electric car charging stations, and coordinated children's activities in-season. Relax inside one of the beach gazebos and listen to the sounds of the sea, or head to the waves for fun in the sun!

The community outdoor pool is available from May 1st to the end of October. The community pool is not heated.

Parking at this complex consists of one designated spot, all others are first come first served. For the electric car charging stations, the price is $1.50/hour. Please be courteous and move your vehicle after charging. If your car is not electric, be sure to not park in these spaces to avoid being towed.

For your convenience, this home provides sheets and towels. Sheets are not provided for sofa sleepers or day beds. Relax upon arrival as all beds will be made for you!

There is no elevator available at this unit or building.

RX OBX PRN is not pet-friendly.

Lower Level: Queen bedroom with flat screen TV, bedroom with 2 twins bedroom a flat screen TV, washer/dryer in hall laundry room at entry of the unit, and full hall bath.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Overall the stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The only point of feedback is that we were disappointed that there were no beach chairs and we were unable to really enjoy sitting on the beach.
