âThe stay was unique the property was very well put together with all the facilities but made from antique and oldie worldie fixtures. The owners were welcoming and jnformative. Breakfast was good and surroundings beautiful. Will go again.â
âReally lovley area, check-in was easy and Jay was nice enought to let us drop our bags early so we could explore newastle.
Of note, due to train strikes 2 of our trains were canceled or skipped the Cramlington stops so keep an eye on that if you make any appointments that rely on public transport.â

âEverything about Langley Castle was excellent. The room was grand and spacious, with a view of the castle. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent as well, and as a guest at the hotel you get the chance to go on the complimentary Battlement guided tour. It's well worth a stay and I'll definitely come back some day. â
âVery friendly lady at the counter. We travelled to Newcastle recently for the Great North Run. The lady (I am so sorry for not remembering her name) had plenty of suggestions about how to get to the venue. She even let us keep the car parked after our check out. The location is very good as well. Buses and Metro available within a short walking distance. Great value for money!â
âThe property is an 18th century coach house so donât expect brand new anything, that being said the place is full of character, but the most important part of this inn are the excellent staff, mostly Maureen (Mo) and Gracie. They were superbly professional yet warm and welcoming and made our 2 day stay a pleasure. The food was excellent (well done Becca) with a great choice. The room was spotless and clean as was the bathroom, would definitely go back and probably will. Well done all.â
âVi hade bokat Superior rum men undrar om det verkligen var nĂ„got "extra" med det. Toan var i ett rum medans badkar, dusch och vask var i ett annat rum. SĂ€ngarna var vĂ€ldigt hĂ„rda men vi sov vĂ€ldigt bra i dem.
De hade glömt att boka taxi till oss den morgonen nÀr vi skulle hem och nÀr vi vÀl fick en taxi och ankom till flygplatsen hade hotellet angett att vi skulle betala för turen fast att det ingick i priset.
Frukosten var ingen höjdare.â
âStayed over for a night whilst travelling back from a trip to Scotland. A great B & B which I canât recommend highly enough. From meeting Susan on arrival where she showed off our room. Whilst cosy, everything was pristine! A comfy bed and great breakfast the next morning topped off a great stay.
Not forgetting the pub attachedâŠâŠwhere we had our evening meal and probably the best Beef and Ale pie weâve ever had with great personal service too.

âMatfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless.
All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall.
Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. It was a generous size bedroom and dressing area with a huge bathroom, stunning views and light and airy in the daytime but warm...
âThe check in was fast and friendly, the room is lovely, with a nice view. There was quite a lot of noise from the street below early in the morning and the church bells were regular throughout the night. The breakfast was a good amount but lukewarm spolt the vibe. The price we paid , i think was high for this standard.â
