"I have never written a hotel review before, however I feel compelled to write after my disappointing experience at MarBella. On our last night my family of 6 were moved into two rooms directly under the main restaurant. We heard scratching and scraping every time a guest moved their chair and especially when tables where moved. This was constant during restaurant open hours and cleaning afterwards which was 6-10pm and again from 7-12am during breakfast. We informed reception immediately to which they said they are aware of the problem and apologize. Neither myself or my children are noise sensitive whatsoever, but this was unbearable.
When I requested to speak with management the next morning I was shuffled between staff and finally got an email that they will not compensate me despite being aware of the problem (many others had complained) and admitting it was unacceptable and charging full high-season price.
As a result of this utter disrespect and terrible customer service I will now list the other issues with the hotel:
1. Not up to standard of cleanliness for a 5 star resort
2. Waited for 10-25 minutes for a table for breakfast and dinner at main restaurant every day. Admittedly it was probably during the busy hours but regardless there should not be that type of line to a restaurant (it was the only dining option for over half of the nights)
3. Many guests smoking in children friendly areas
4. Beer tasted like
5. Coffee very weak and watered down
6. I was consisten"
