Fabulous hus i utmärkt läge i NTS Conservation Area, fantastisk havsutsikt

Lochalsh Lodge är en fantastisk nybyggt hus i en superb inställning inom National Trust naturvårdsområde i Lochalsh skogspromenader. Huset har panoramautsikt över Lochalsh till Isle of Skye, Kylerhea och de avlägsna bergen i Knoydart. En stig leder ner till havet som är mindre än 50 meter bort. Fastigheten består av en stor öppen planlösning vardagsrum / matsal / kök och tvättstuga. Master bedroom med eget badrum och klädkammare, ytterligare tre sovrum alla med eget badrum och en studie. Huset är av hög specifikation inklusive granit bänkskivor, handmålade köksinredning och en köksö med en massiv ek bänkskiva. Vardagsrummet har en Jøtul braskamin. All den eleganta en-sviter dra nytta av golvvärme och stora duschväggar. Lochalsh Lodge är en idealisk bas för att utforska Skye och Lochalsh området. Med Skye bron bara tre miles away de många attraktionerna Skye är på tröskeln oavsett om de mer äventyrliga Cuillin bergen eller besöka den berömda Talisker Whisky Distillery. Den pittoreska byn Plockton är femton minuter med bil och erbjuder flera bra restauranger och båtturer för säl tittar. Den världsberömda Eileen Donan slott (filmad som en James Bond HQ) är bara några minuter bort. Området gynnas omfattande utomhusaktiviteter, inklusive vandring, backen klättring, golf, paddling och vattensporter (egen båtplats finns). Det finns ett överflöd av vilda liv i närheten med många fåglar, inklusive havsörnen (en av Storbritanniens största fåglar). Utter och tall martins ses ofta från huset. Det finns utmärkta förbindelser till området. Kyle of Lochalsh som är fem minuter bort har regelbundna buss- och tågtrafiken och många faciliteter inklusive en stor mataffär, lokala butiker, fritidshem, etc. För någon som letar efter en lyxig Highland semester i en fantastisk miljö Lochalsh Lodge är platsen för dig.

We stayed in this house as a last minute pivot when we couldn’t get to the islands because of a storm. It turned out better than we could have anticipated! Communication with host was great, check in was easy, everything was spotless and comfortable. We loved the views out of the front window and we even saw dolphins just outside. Great stay!

Fantastic stay

I cannot speak more highly about our stay. The house is beautiful, homely, warm and with every ammenity required.With views from the living room and three bedrooms, immediate access to the seashore, and close to Skye you really couldnt ask for more.

Walking and touring Skye and mainland near Kylenif Lochalsh

The property is extremely well located for visiting some incredibly beautiful places. It is also convenient for short drive to local facilities. The view from the living area is as good as it gets. Inside the property is beautifully appointed and well equipped. Communication with the owner was efficient, prompt and friendly. I would certainly consider staying again.

Very comfortable house in a wonderful location, with spectacular views. The house is large, comfortable and very nicely furnished. Kitchen is large and well equipped. House is in a quiet location but with easy access to shops, walks and local sites. The views from most rooms are spectacular and change throughout the day, depending on the weather. The owner is easy to communicate with. Will definitely return.

It was hard to leave...

After a windy day and trying driving in the highlands, there was no better feeling than sitting on the sofa, fire burning, gazing out at the light and wind dancing on the sound as the sky dims -- a perfect house for a perfect holiday.

Wonderful stay right by the Loch!

What a fantastic property in a stunning location. This stay exceeded all our expectations, and the real game-changer was each bedroom having an ensuite bathroom! We also saw dolphins and seals in the water from the living room window. A real gem of a place. Thanks again Colin!

One of the best houses we’ve stayed in.

Gorgeous views, well stocked kitchen (the best stocked in over 30 years of visiting Scotland), great access to Skye, good dark sky location (we were lucky with the weather and had very clear skies on our last night).. There were 8 of us in our party and there was plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful

Its just exactly as advertised. Four on-suite double bedrooms and another room that comfortably has a double bed. Spectacular views over the Loch, seen an otter one morning going about its business just by the shore next to the house. House very well equipped and clean, great showers and a bath in the downstairs double room. So much to see and do around the area, property is in a woodland with walks marked out. Just cant recomend this holiday home enouhg.

The West Highlands at their very best

Perfect location, waking up and looking out at the views every day was a joy - we saw otters twice from the lounge window! Location is tranquil and quiet, but not remote - 5 min drive to Lochalsh for a decent co-op with a great range. 10 mins and you're over the bridge and onto Skye. The rooms were spacious, kitchen well set out and standard of decor was superb. If I could find one tiny criticism, it would be the water pressure, but given this is a rural location, Im not sure anything could be done to improve it. I would highly recommend and hopefully will be staying there again in the future.

Views to die for

Comfortable well furnished property with en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms were great and bright and airy. Lovely views of the water from the front of the house. Peace and quiet. Well equipped kitchen and utility room.. Enough space in the lounge for family of 7. Outside space is good but limitations with younger children. Ours did enjoy going down the path to the rocks by the water’s edge. Path a little steep in places if you’re a bit doddering on the feet. Games available for a rainy day.Location close to Skye was ok for us. Adequate grocery shopping within a couple of miles. We had a lovely stay. Thank you Colin

superb property with outstanding views

We loved this holiday and everyone said it was the best place we'd stayed as a 3 generation family. We really appreciated having 4 very comfortable bedrooms, well soundproofed from each other and all ensuite. It's hard to find large, quality double beds in all rooms so this was perfect for us. The whole house was cosy and there was plenty of hot water. We made good use of the lovely, large dining table and loved the views both from living rooms and bedrooms. The location worked really well, being able to walk through local woodlands and drive easily to Coral Beach, Plockton, Eilean Donan Castle and across for day trips to Skye to enjoy walks. Having chosen to eat at home most days (we had two young children) the only criticism was the poor state of the 'non-stick' cookware which we avoided using, making cooking for 8 of us a bit tricky - in fact we bought our own frying pan! Apart from that the kitchen was very well stocked. Many thanks for the best holiday and we hope to be back!

Lovely house in a superb location.

The house is beautifully furnished and decorated and well appointed, giving us a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Comfy beds, apart from the sofa bed in the study, which we needed to use due to the size of our family group. The sofa bed needs a proper mattress and efforts could be made to make the study more attractive as a sleeping space. The views are stunning and the location, just minutes away from Skye, was perfect. The local walks in the woods were beautiful and allowed us to take our dogs out without getting in the car every time. We had a few issues with the heating, but a quick phone call had these resolved instantly. The only other small negative was some dirty plates and a dirty pan in the cupboards. This is probably due to there being a very large amount of crockery in the cupboards and I assume the cleaners don't check all the way through it. It was only a small inconvenience to wash these items before use, but not ideal. Overall, a very lovely place to stay.
