We were advised by friends who reside in Playa Bonita, whom we wanted to stay close to, that taxis/Uber’s dont go to Chumical and the area is for “adventurous” travelers so we forfeited our non-refundable booking. The host offered a different date but this didn’t resolve the above concerns. ”

“Arrived at ny 12 noon check in per my registration with a couple of bags of perishable items to cook over the stay. Once I arrived I was told that they do not do check in until 3 PM. I showed them that the check in per my reservation was at 12 noon and that I had purchased food that could not sit in a hot car for three hours. I was told that they would expedite the room cleaning and inform me soon on the check in. I returned in 45 minuted and there was another associate there that stated that...

“The property was clean and as described. However, the hot water cut out every few minutes when showering. The hand soap in each bathroom was not usable since they put regular soap in a container meant for foam (they also had bars of soap so it was ok).”

“The host was wonderful! She was very quick to respond to any and all of our questions and needs. The place was spacious and comfortable. The caretakers were also excellent in relating to my daughter who has special needs. To top it off, they also offered horseback rides on trails and down to the river. I really loved staying here and would definitely come back if we visit Panama again ”

The host response was delayed; sometimes up to 3 days. The water took some time to warm up and sometimes the water shut off completely.
