Guest House On Owners Lakefront Property

  • Det här är vårt pensionat. Det är mycket snyggt inredda med träskåp, brickor och trägolv och apparater av professionell kvalitet. Den lägre nivån har ett öppet vardagsrum / matplats med ett fullt utrustat kök. Stort matbord. Altandörrar med utsikt över sjön. Det finns ett fullt badkar ner. Ett sovrum med en drottning och en full säng. På övervåningen är queen size-säng med sittgrupp, och litet sovrum med queen size-säng. Badkar är endast dusch / toalett.

    Detta hus ligger på ägarens husgård med en spektakulär utsikt över apostlarna från en hög bank. Åtkomst till den stora permanenta piren med trappor (cirka 125) eller med elektrisk spårvagn till bryggans ände. Det finns en badstege om du bryr dig om att gå in i det kalla, klara vattnet i Lake Superior. Många gäster gör och beskriver upplevelsen som "spirituell".

    Bryggan ligger vid den södra änden av Hidden Beach, som endast är tillgänglig för invånare i den lokala utvecklingen. För det mesta kommer du att ha stranden åt dig själv. Njut av att titta på fiske och segelbåtar på väg mot förankringar på Stockton Island. Eagles bo och abborre i de höga tallarna längs stranden.

Madeline Island get away

Our stay was very relaxing, got up in the morning went for a hike, lazy afternoon and cooked an evening meal. Repeat Loved the tram down to the dock, beach, amazing kitchen and grill

Family Vacation

We had a great time at Larry and Marge’s vacation house. We brought our boat and the dock was perfect. The trolley made it easy to get down to the beach. It was a beautiful location!

Would recommend this property and area to travel to 10/10. Was so quiet and beautiful nature all around. The house was beautiful and a joy to live in for a week. Larry and Marge are wonderful hosts that were available at anytime !

Family Week at Madeline Island

Overall great time at Larry's property. The place was well stocked and the toddler bed was a great surprise. The lift down to the lake was great to get everyone down. The beach was great, the kids swam almost every day. He provided fire wood which was very nice. Used the grill for meals l. Plenty of space for our group of 7, three generations.

A True Treasure

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful beach to explore. Close to Town Park and State Park. Accommodations were beautiful. We were very happy and comfortable. Larry and Marge are wonderful hosts. Flowers on the property were gorgeous. Would love to come back again.

Seclusion Vacation

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this house and it’s exactly the place we love to stay at. Lots of privacy and seclusion on beautiful land with lake access. This has easily become our first choice for renting on the island.

Everything was great. Check-in was smooth with Larry giving us an overview of how everything works. Kitchen was was well appointed (bring your own spices)Knives could use some sharpening. (I'm fussy) The beach was beautiful, the kids loved doing the steps to get their steps in. I used the lift on the way back up.

Perfect, again

A quiet but astonishingly beautiful getaway. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and full of natural light. We find we spend one happy day after another hanging out on the dock with a book, jumping in and out of the clear and bracing water of Lake Superior, and watching birds and sailboats go by.

Adventure North

We had an amazing time here. The island has so much to do that even the teenager was impressed, and of course you can’t go wrong spending time at the lake. The tram made it so easy to transport everything to the dock and beachfront. The property was great, very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were so welcoming and nice, even answering all of my curious kiddos questions. If you are thinking about adventuring north to explore Lake Superior, I highly recommend staying at the guesthouse.

PERFECT GETAWAY

Quiet location in the woods, steps away from Lake Superior. Great area for biking, hiking, kayaking, shopping etc. Mind the ferry schedule for off Islan plans. Owners were very kind, friendly, and helpful. Their little dog Shelby came and checked on us daily.

Truly Great Escape

Beautiful home, as described. We had a great time. Larry was 100% responsive. We enjoyed the lake and kayaking. We had 1 yo baby with us, Larry set us up with all needed supplies for the baby, so we didn't regret keeping all our helpful baby equipment at home. North end of an island provided us with the seclusion we were looking for.

The guest house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, including s’mores sticks, plentiful Tupperware and nice pots and pans. Bring spices and cooking oils in addition to your regular groceries as the store on the island is very small and limited. We really enjoyed walking down the beach, swimming in the water, hanging out on the dock and watching the sunset. The tram to the beach was very convenient and would be excellent for older people and babies who can’t do the 125 stairs. Larry, the property owner, was friendly and helpful but not invasive at all. Highly recommended!

Great island stay

We really enjoyed our stay on Madeline island! The house was great! We enjoyed time on the beach and were glad for the lift up the hill between the beach and the house. The owners were friendly and helpful. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The appliances all worked well. Things to note: bring your own spices/seasonings. Also, the property is about 20 minutes from the ferry landing (some of which is over a well maintained dirt road). We enjoyed the state and county park as well as local boat tours and rentals.

Delightful

What a delightful guest house right on the shore of Lake Superior! There was plenty of room for three couples (though the small bedroom really is small). There is ample dining space with tables for six in both the house and on the patio. Bring lots of bug spray! Due to county regulations, the kitchen isn’t as well stocked with condiments and spices as we’re used to, so be sure to bring your own. The trolley down to the quiet beach and dock enabled my husband who has limited mobility to join us as we enjoyed canoe rides, exhilarating dips in the water (for some of us) and breath-taking evening sunsets. Larry and Marge are wonderful hosts, right there on the property when needed but never intrusive of our privacy. Would love to come back and highly recommend.
