“While we had a good night at this property, and the kitchen and common area were great, the place was not particularly clean, there was only one bathroom for 12 beds and the room and bathroom door locks were not functional. We did not know which room was ours and had to figure that out by finding someone who could tell us. It seemed that not all of the work was finished to get this property ready to use. That said, it was peaceful, quiet and calm. ”

“We went on a spur of the moment cycling trip to Salt Spring Island. The hills were tough but at the end of that error in judgment was the gem that is Hummingbird B&B. Highly recommended accomodations for those impulsive cyclists out there when Salt Spring Island beckons. Thank you to the hosts for their hospitality. Everything went off without a hitch.”

“We were delighted with the location and views. Very serene. We found the path to the sand to be short but steep so some of our party didn’t venture down. The interior is not what we would consider “immaculate” but it was clean and tidy. The condition of the exterior was below expectations given the price point. The lawn furniture and patio areas especially needed some tlc. While this did not detract from our enjoyment of the property, for the price we expected a little more attention to detail.”

“The property is absolutely beautiful. The description says the beds are queen size, however, I think that’s more of a full size in US terms. But very comfortable. I would suggest fitted sheets on the bottom as opposed to flat, as I had to wrestle with them all night. Other than that, the property owner was very helpful.”
