IDEAS FOR AN ITINERARY:
2 days= the tiny home and surrounding property can be all you need to enjoy your time. Depends on if you primarily came to relax and enjoy the company of whom you are traveling with or if you are looking for regional activities and sights. Slip in a visit to Penrose State Park just down the road via car or a casual walk. There is beach access and trails.
3 days= All of the above, but depending on your relaxation requirements you can further explore the Key Peninsula. I like to look for water access (lakes and boat ramps) or parks. Joemma State Park is the other good state park out here. There is a lot of history on Key Peninsula, I like looking at the interesting barns and buildings out here. Or if doing some driving isn't an issue, spend time in Gig Harbor (30 minute drive). Walking the waterfront shops and restaurants. Also an area for many retailers. Or head for Belfair State Park and/or Hoodsport (summer is best for this little town). Or start to think about day trips- 2 hours in any direction gives you access to the best of the PNW.
4 days and longer- Viewing the tiny home as a base camp to the Olympic National Park & Forest. You could do these day trips ideally with as little as a 3 day stay. Take a scenic drive along Hood Canal 1.5 hours away to Lake Cushman (home of Staircase, gorgeous viewpoints and mossy trees). Or Mt.Walker lookout at 2.5 hours where you can see Seattle in the distance and so much more on a clear day. And everywhere in between there are rivers, salt water, trails and water falls. And/or add another National Park day trip and visit Mt. Rainier. A two hour drive gets you up & personal with the big mountain, the trails and glorious nature found there.
One week and more= Do more of the above. If you have specialized interest we can make further recommendations, like mountain biking trails, local fishing, hiking, off-road driving or just beautiful locations. Bring your kayak! There are some amazing waterways around here. We love this area! We've got room to park your boat and other *toys* here.
We have 2 driveway cameras not pointed at the house. They are used when house is vacant. There is absolutely no cameras inside the house. We have a decibel measuring device to protect against parties, extreme temperatures, windows breaking and mold. It is not a camera nor does it record spoken word
