The most beautiful lakefront cabin at Liveaway stays- with it’s own access to Shasta Lake through the Doney Creek Arm and breathtaking views of the mountains and trees all around. Just a 2 minute walk to the lake where you can swim, picnic or take your kayaks, paddleboards and explore the serene waters. If you plan to bring your boats and rent a slip- the marinas are a short 3-4 minute drive from the house. The perfect lakehouse with easy access to the lake, marinas, cafes and still surrounded by nature- it does not get any better than this! This gorgeous 4 bedroom (plus loft) 4 bathroom house is well stocked with all the essentials and beautifully furnished with lots of amenities like hot tub, a pool table, rec/ game room, bocce ball, fenced yard for kids and pets etc. The large wrap around deck has a BBQ and ample seating to enjoy meals, birdwatch in the day and stargaze by night. And conveniently located with only a short drive away from Redding, Mt. Shasta, Lassen and so many more beautiful places to explore year round! Your dream vacation awaits at your home away from home!



Guest Access

The cabin is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with sufficient parking for at least 3-4 cars. You will also have access to the garage where you can use the game room as well as park ONE car. Please be respectful of some of the personal items that belong to the owners which are in some of the garage cabinets. Part of the garage where you park your car is monitored by a camera as it has doors which also enter the house. This is for everyone's safety but don't worry it does not interfere with your private game room space. While we have tried our best to make the garage safe it is not fully child proof. Please accompany your little ones at all times.

Game Room and a Rec Room



The main family / living room has a cabin-like open structure design with vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous wood burning fireplace and a large LED Smart TV with lots of DVDs. We have WiFi and you can also access your own Netflix/Hulu/HBOMax accounts if you prefer but we generally recommend disconnecting while at the Lake.



There are 3 bedrooms, 1 bonus room and 1 loft (all with beds as shown in the photos) to accommodate a maximum of 9 adults and 5 children (not including infants under 2 years). There are 2 ensuite full bathrooms and 2 common full bathrooms all hooked up to a new on-demand water heater. The heater may take a few minutes to warm up but works great for simultaneous use.



The kitchen is well stocked and fully equipped with a 5-burner gas stove, toaster, microwave oven, large fridge, other appliances and all basic kitchen utensils & supplies.



And if all that's not enough, you are going to love the bocce ball court and the game room with a pool table, lots of board games, books and puzzles to keep you and your family thoroughly entertained. There's more- we have created a brand new game room in our garage which has a ping pong table, arcade basketball, skeeball, pac-man video game, darts and a sound bar to enjoy some music. We also have a 6 person hot tub on our deck which is perfect for relaxing after a busy day of exploring the area. If used, please abide by the rules to avoid any fines.

Additional Notes:

~We provide a ramp for any guests who may need additional help to access our home. Please let us know and we will set this up for you before your check-in.



~There's a gas BBQ on the deck and we also provide lots of fun lake gear such as beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels (please don't take regular bath towels outside the home!!). We also have fun backyard games to offer and they are available for your use in the garage.



~ Please respect the wildlife around you. You might spot deers, wild cats, bears and various types of birds. Please give them their space and keep a safe distance. Do not feed the bears or any other wildlife.



~ During fall through winter (Sept-Feb), we cover the outdoor furniture to protect it from rain and snow and is not available for guest use.



~ Pets- We will allow up to two very well behaved dogs but we do charge $95 per dog. Your dogs must be well trained and are never let on the furniture or beds. They must also never be left alone in the house unless they are crated. Owner must clean up after them. Please read pet rules for more information.



~This listing is approved by Shasta County under STR Permit #20-0036 and is liable for paying Total Occupancy Taxes (TOT) under Certificate #528.



*IMPORTANT: Please note that Shasta Lake is a reservoir so lake level can vary greatly changing the views, distance to the water, boat and marina status/access. Please review information on lake level prior to booking. Distance to water from the house varies from 50 feet (when the lake is full) to several hundred yards (when lower) depending on lake level fluctuations. Views from house and access to lake, marina, and boat ramps will vary through the season. Check Lake Level or contact us for lake level status. Most of our guests still have a great time at any water level, we want to make sure you understand the dynamics of this reservoir. Forest fires are common in the summer and fall in Northern California. Depending on wind direction, you may have smoke or haze that come into the area. Avoid the Shasta area this time of the year if you are sensitive to smoke. Check with us for current conditions or weather alerts.
