“My wife and I needed a budget friendly place to stay for a wedding at the Pines Resort on Bass Lake. The Nugget at North Fork was the perfect place to fit our budget. The room was comfortable but could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Layers of dust on the ceiling fan blades and also the walls, lamp shades. The price point for a one night stay and its location to our wedding venue, Yosemite, and Sequoia National Parks is the primary reason we chose the Nugget at North Fork.”

If you are accustomed to well-maintained short-term rentals, you may want to lower your expectations. We arrived late, and the home was difficult to find due to poor exterior lighting. “This house was conveniently located to Yosemite (1-1.5 hrs depending) and only a couple hours from Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon. The town of Oakhurst was close enough for restaurants and groceries and gas for the car. The house was pleasant enough, but could use some TLC. The back patio and hot tub were nice for relaxing each evening after spending the day in the park. Communication with the host was good and timely.”

“It was amazing our first time getting a place like this rather than a hotel we absolutely loved it loved the hot tub and we enjoyed our time with our pet as well!:) everything was close by we got to explore a lot of places before checking in and it was a smooth process highly recommend!:)”

“Check-in process is super easy. They have every everything which your home doesn’t have. Full kitchen including species. Don’t forget to explore every cabinet. You will find everything. We stayed for two night while visiting Yosemite national park. Clean house, comfortable beds. In house laundry. No other distractions . Overall 11 out of 10”

“This location is beautiful. It is a perfect spot for a couple to enjoy some personal time in a remote setting. We have some mobility issues so needing to walk from the parking area presented some challenges but this was not insurmountable. All in all a lovely place.”
