“The apartment was truly amazing, from the minute you enter the main door, there is a wonderful fragrance. Upon entering the apartment, the deco was ver tasteful and the technology with electric blinds and a mirrored tv were amazing. Its very specious and very clean.The best place I've stayed in.The location is walking distance to everything in Kirkby Lonsdale. The owner went above and beyond, checking we were happy with everything. ”

“A charming pub in a great location, but can get crowded. Comfortable room, modern bathroom, everything clean and tidy. Coffee-making facilities in the room a plus. Good food in the restaurant (including breakfast) and a good selection of beers in the bar. Service is directed mainly towards bar customer, so it can be difficult to get attention as a hotel guest. Parking in a dedicated carpark just over the road.”

“The hotel was beautiful and all the wonderful festive decorations made it feel very special. Bar staff were wonderful. I loved sipping my gin by the warm crackling fire place. The breakfast room was wonderful with lovely views of the snowy mountain tops. Great selection available for breakfast. My Eggs Royal were lovely, thank you for our amazing stay! “We had a brilliant stay at Melrose B&B. Our room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and parking was provided. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning”

“Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.”

“Lovely hotel, absolutely stunning. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough. Our room was in Rock House, a little annex and really comfortable and had every facility we could want. Just a ten minute walk into Grange-over-Sands. ”

The location is perfect, right by the water, and the room was lovely with an incredibly comfortable bed. Everything felt nicely done and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good too. We’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to others.”
