“We had the most amazing stay at the Brown Hen. From the warm welcome from Gwyneth to the location which is rural and very very peaceful to the real home from home feel of the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and so well equipped, we had everything we needed. We spent 5 nights here and we would happily have stayed much longer. If you are in the area, be sure to stay here. ”

“Quiet and secure property. Well equipped kitchen. A lovely setting, hassle free in a nice private area of the property. We enjoyed visiting the hens and ducks. A beautiful and interesting farm and grounds.”

“Tranquil, bucolic situation right beside the water. Very quiet, and well equipped. Our hostess Stephanie was very helpful.”

“Eileen was a great hostess! She met us at the bottom of the hill as our GPS was malfunctioning and we couldn’t find her. She had a notebook full of things to do and places to eat while in the area. The house is beautiful and was perfect for what we needed. It has a huge back yard with wild rabbits that were fun to watch. ”

“We stayed for a week and highly recommended this place. Its a lovely set-up with a furnace as well as a small conservatory. The location was perfect for reaching multiple destinations from Cork to Kilareny both being about an hour in either direction. The local town has a rich history and is full of shops, pubs, and grocery stores. The hosts were very pleasant and offered useful suggestions and shared some great stories. Would definitely stay again. ”
