“It was the perfect location for our hiking vacation. We are avid hikers and this cottage was within 35 min drive of all of the hikes we had researched in advance that we wanted to do in both the Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington National Forest. “We had a really fun time staying here and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was super clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the views, the porch, the fire pit, and hot tub. As other reviews mentioned, getting to the property is an adventure up and down mountain roads, the main bathroom has a sliding door with a small gap, and the bottom floor is completely a separate entrance from the upstairs. We had a great stay here - it was excellent for our family of 4.”

We had a fantastic experience--everything we needed was here, including space for our dogs to run around safely. The hosts could not have been more gracious and the communication was excellent. “The cottage is on beautiful immaculate well tended land. It abuts a farm with cows, an old barn and silo. I sat in the grass with my dog every afternoon and took in the unobstructed majestic beauty of the sunset over the blue ridge mountains. Smoked my cigar on the porch in the morning with my coffee. To say this property is relaxing is an understatement. Nothing dangerous for my dog to explore and poke around. I recommend bringing food you can put in a toaster oven, firewood, newspaper to start...
