Traditionell Dales stuga med fantastisk utsikt,

Westbrook House är en terrasserad stuga belägen i en lugn icke-körning genom byn Newbiggin i Bishopdale. Det finns terrängparkering på framsidan av fastigheten.

Stugan från 1742 har många traditionella funktioner inklusive de ursprungliga balkarna. På övervåningen finns två sovrum. Det stora sovrummet har en superking-storlek säng med en minne skum madrass. Funktioner inkluderar ett välvt tak med synliga balkar. Det finns också en TV och härlig utsikt både på framsidan och baksidan av fastigheten.

Det andra sovrummet har en dubbelsäng av massiv ek med två sängbord. Rummet har också synliga balkar och härlig utsikt bakom fastigheten.

Längs en korridor finns ett stort, rymligt badrum med badkar / dusch och en stor fåfänga. Det finns också en väggvärmare om extra värme krävs.

Nedervåningen - det finns ett mysigt 3: e sovrum med dubbelsäng i mässing.

Den huvudsakliga loungen har två soffor med plats för 5 personer. Det finns också en spis med flera bränslen som kan bränna både kol och stockar (alla ingår i priset). Det finns också en stor full HD 4k-TV, en Humax FREESAT-låda, en DVD-spelare och ett urval av DVD-skivor. Gratis bredband och WiFi tillhandahålls också gratis. Det finns också härlig utsikt över baksidan av fastigheten med utsikt över dalen.

Från loungen går du till köket och matplatsen. I matbordet finns sex personer. Köket i sig är helt nytt och är utrustat med alla de senaste moderna konsumenten. g dubbelugn, induktionshäll, mikrovågsugn, brödrost etc.

Det finns trädgårdar på framsidan och baksidan av fastigheten. Den främre trädgårdsområdet är till stor del stenlagd & med badkar med blommor och buskar. Det finns också ett päronträd vid huset själv. Det blir också mycket sol på morgonen och tidigt på eftermiddagen så det är ett trevligt område att sitta ute och ha en morgonkappa och till och med chatta med förbipasserande. Den bakre trädgården är mycket större med gott om plats att promenera runt & en gräsmatta som lutar ner till ett fält. Det finns också ett metallbord med sex stolar som du kan sitta ute och äta på och njuta av den fantastiska utsikten över Dale.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Westbrook House. Beautiful views, peaceful garden, and a quick walk to the village pub with friendly people and amazing food. It is in a great location to traipse around the Dales, and is very cozy and well appointed (the bathroom is amazing)...just perfect to come "home" to after a day of walking or touring. Phil is one of the most well-prepared and organized hosts we have ever encountered, providing you with lots of info and recommendations well in advance, and very responsive. We only wished we could have stayed longer, and can't recommend it enough! Thank you, Phil!!

We had the very best time staying at Westbrook House. The hosts have thought of everything you might need and the cottage was dry cosy. The views were stunning and a walk to the local pub was the icing on the cake. Be warned the food potions are very generous. We explored the area and our host did recommend the Wensleydale ice cream parlour which was worth a visit. Beautiful house in a beautiful location.

This house is set in the most beautiful countryside and the views are amazing. The house is kitted out with everything you need to prepare meals at home or a 5 min walk to the local pub. The beds were comfortable with high quality linen, a very spacious bathroom with a large bath (with a view and lots of towels). Great wifi made planning our days out a delight and allowed relaxing evenings with a movie or two Everything about our 3 week stay was just so wonderful and we definitely plan to return.

A really nice, well-appointed house with a lovely garden and great views. In a very quiet location, but only a few minutes stroll from the local pub, which serves excellent food, this house is a great place to come and relax and is also a good base for walking the dales. We loved it.

Beautiful and relaxing stay

The house is beautiful and well kitted out with everything you should need. The mattress in the main bedroom was very comfy and provided such a good night's sleep and being woken by bird song (although early) was lovely. The bathroom was very luxurious and the towels provided were very thick and good quality. The owner was great at communication and answered all questions promptly. We would happily rebook.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage that felt very much like home. Absolutely beautiful views from the garden. Just wish there had been a bar b q. Fabulous - Quiet and Relaxing

Westbrook House was a wonderfully quiet and relaxing place to stay. With beautiful views over the dales and being serenaded by the sweet sounds of the various birdsongs, it was a quiet oasis for us to relax. The house itself was perfect. It was clean, had all of the advertised amenities and was consistent with the pictures provided in the listing. The kitchen is well equipped and has the full compliment of conveniences needed to function effectively (ie, washer and dishwasher tablets, wax paper, cling film, seasonings and oil, plenty of pots , pans and baking trays/dishes, etc, etc).The bathroom was terrific. Beautiful clawfoot bath, plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower and a terrific set up for night lighting with sensor baseboard lighting. Communication with the owners was seamless and easy. During our visit, Phil (owner) visited the property to do some yard maintenance and was very considerate of us during that time. We were interested in the property and area and Phil was more than happy to answer our many questions. He was a pleasure to interact with and our exchanges with him enhanced our visit. The Yorkshire Dales itself was a lovely place to visit. The property is located within easy driving distance of the local attractions, restaurants and pubs and towns for sourcing supplies for cooking at home. And there were plenty of walking paths available too. Great stay. Recommend and would return if in the area again (visiting from Australia).

Cosy cottage with stunning views

This was our second visit to this lovely cottage and it won't be our last. Very cosy clean cottage with everything you need. The garden is beautiful with great views of the dales. Very handy for the street head Inn pub who does great food . Nice walks straight from the door in the surrounding hills and into west burton. Great communication with our host Phil who made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay which was very helpful. We will be back

Restful and relaxing weekend away

We had a wonderful break at Westbrook House. The cottage worked really well for us and views both from the back and front of the house were stunning. There is plenty to do and walks directly from the house. Farm shops and tearooms and little towns to explore as well as hills to climb are in abundance. There is a local pub a short walk away. We particularly enjoyed the garden and listening to the birds. The house was well equipped and Phil provided all the information we needed for a great stay. Would have just liked to have stayed longer!
