âThe Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. The staff are relaxed, friendly and professional and helped every day. They made me special vegetarian options on request, and let me help myself to other foods. The furnishings are top notch. âLoved this place for the swimming pool and the bar and the restaurant. However, check-in and check-out took way too long and several mistakes were made. The staff had no idea which rooms we had booked and when ckecking out they mixed up our restaurant bills, among other things. Doesn't sound like such a huge problems but it took quite some time to sort everytning out. This would be the only thing that the hotel needs to improve.â

âI was working pretty intensively in Lilongwe and I needed a weekend break to wind down. Eden was the perfect spot and barely 20 minutes drive from town. My quiet, restful and beautifully appointed studio had its own mini kitchen and separate bedroom upstairs, so it was more like a small house. And the onsite bar and restaurant and extensive grounds were a delight. I will definitely return.â
