My husband and I don't sleep in the same room at home, so when I found a suite at the Sandpiper Inn with a separate bedroom featuring a queen bed and a Murphy bed in the living room, I thought it would be perfect for us. I booked it for a two-night stay.Imagine our surprise when we were getting ready for bed the first night and discovered there was absolutely no bedding provided for the Murphy bed—not a sheet, blanket, or bedspread. It was late, so we had no choice but to share the bedding from the queen bed. We had to request bedding the following day, which meant our first night's sleep was nothing like what we had planned or paid for.Overall, this is a very bare-bones unit. Don't expect any extras. There was even a note inside the cupboard stating, "Please be advised that we provide 1 packet of coffee per stay." We had brought our own Keurig pods, so it didn't affect us, but that note really rubbed me the wrong way. When you're paying more than 530 for a two-night stay, providing only a single packet of coffee for the entire visit seems unnecessarily stingy. It left a poor impression and, combined with the missing bedding, made the experience feel less welcoming than we expected.If you're considering staying here, I would recommend bringing anything you think you might need, because this property provides only the basics.
