I will start off on a positive that the hotel staff was wonderful and very responsive. I don't think I waited longer than a few minutes once I texted them. Having a washing machine/dryer was very convenient and appreciated.
The downside is that, as much as the hotel itself is lovely, the area, at night, is a different story. Our first 10 minutes of arriving had us approached by drug dealers, while with our 12-year-old son, and homeless using the alley, our window opened up to, as a bathroom. The daytime is very different and the location is perfect for all the shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the first impression has stuck and, sadly, it's unlikely we will return.
Footnote - I do realize that this is city life. However, had someone mentioned it in another review, I may have looked for something that felt "safer" especially traveling with a child. I felt a bit let down and regretting the choice I made for the family.
