Slightly disappointing that our selected and paid for room was not bookable with our dog and we got allocated a smaller cottage room instead even though the hotel is listed as pet friendly. Classic decorations and overall well maintained. However, would not have expected plastic flowers in the conservatory.”

“The building is really old with rickety stairs! BUT our room was really big and airy and clean. Near to the river and nice pubs. Easy to find parking and nice check-in staff. ”
“I stay here most years for an event I attend nearby. The rooms are good value, clean and have everything I need. It is low hassle, quiet and I sleep well. Breakfast is very basic Fruit, pastry and cereal bar hung on the door the day before but suits me for an early start.”

“We were really impressed especially by the friendliness & attentiveness of the staff. Very welcoming. Room was spacious, well provisioned & comfortable. Glad there was a fan as it was a hot night. We pre-booked for an evening meal & it was excellent 10/10 for taste & cooked to perfection. Enjoyed our breakfast too & both meals were very generous portions. Would definitely recommend - only here for one night but would love to stay longer next time.”
