“We had a lovely warm welcome from Morag. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Morag shared with us local recommendations for eating out. Our morning started off with the most delicious Scottish breakfast. We would highly recommend a stay at The Hightae Inn.”

“Easy to find near Dumfries and a nice break into Scotland at the start of our journey. Room was clean and comfortable, and we had the one nearest the ramp so didn't have to climb steps. Room was a bit dark, but easy to move around in, and had sufficient power outlets so we could charge our phones without a problem. Dinner was very good and the owner introduced me to a new ale that i hadn't tried before... great recommendation! We also found out he was the local postmaster, and let us confirm...

“Recently refurbished, rooms were clean and fresh and kept the original features of the property. Bathroom was lovely and bath a great size although did miss the option of grabbing a quick shower. Bathroom needs a blind or curtain please otherwise stunning room.”

“This is a lovely old pub in the middle of Warwick on Eden. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was cosy and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed one night as we were heading to Scotland. We had a lovely evening meal, which I had pre booked. We had the flat iron steak which was cooked to perfection. Breakfast the following morning was equally as good, and freshly cooked to order.”
