The best thing is the location but that's about it
I had the deluxe room and sadly it was not much deluxe about it or my stay there. The small room was adjacent to a laundry room or something on one side and the outside had the AC units for the building on the other. The bed vibrated and was shaking when the the people above was walking around.

Hi John Thank you very much for your review in regards of your recent stay. As it is a victorian town building, the layout for most of the deluxes differs but the size is similar. The room you were allocated was indeed on the back side of the building in the proximity of the AC units. I will pass this on to the right department to check in regards of the noise. Väldigt fint hotell med bra läget i London. Modern design, trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta hotellet.

Ett hotell för par!
Detta hotell passar bättre för par som gärna sitter i baren och dricker fina drinkar. Väldigt trevlig personal. Sängen var underbart skön. Fint badrum, modern design tyvärr med dåligt schampo och balsam så har du lite längre hår, ta med eget. Gropar i golvet under mattan och tyvärr låter AC så vi använde öronproppar. Kontinental frukost betyder mjölk och flingor, rostbröd, frukt och skinka. Hårdkokta ägg som legat ett tag. Ingen varm mat. Gott kaffe. Hotellet ligger nära två museum.

Lovely, but with a caveat
Very nice room on the 4th floor. Comfortable bed, large bathroom, sizable TV. Fairly well shielded from outside noise, however sounds carried quite badly through the walls and you could pretty much listen in on any of the neighbours' conversations. Decor was lovely, especially the ceiling light. There was a partially frosted window between the room and the shower, which is interesting but I wouldn't recommend it if sharing a room with family or less-than-very-close friends. The room got quite humid with the AC off (this was in December) but was alright with it on, although the temperature setting went straight from 'quite chilly' to 'rather toasty'. Staff was very good and provided excellent service throughout my stay, which included bringing takeaway up to my room every night as I was in quarantine at the time. Location is very central and fairly easily accessible by taxi coming from Heathrow. There were quite a few ambulances passing through the area but it was otherwise not unreasonably noisy, especially considering its central location. Overall, I felt that I got my money's worth. I'd recommend it to others with the caveat that it's not for someone who's easily bothered by people in the other rooms.

Plus: Läget, området och personalen. Minus: Musiken från baren hördes i rummet. Fläkten i luftkonditioneringen gav ett skrapande ljud. Samtliga dörrar i huset slamrade. Badrummets finnish höll inte 5 stjärnor, möjligtvis 2. Garderobsdörrarna slog i sängen. 2 av de 3 användbara eluttagen var blockerade av sänggaveln och gick inte att använda.

Great hotel but not a 5* star feeling
It is a good hotel but dont get that 5* feeling. But dont get me wrong. It is a good hotel but if you expecting a 5* feeling, you need to look at Another hotel. But I will return to this hotel when the price is right.

Arty and nice hotel in a great location

Ett någorlunda skapligt hotell med bra läge
Ett någorlunda skapligt hotell men man hade förväntat mer av ett hotell i denna prisklass, ganska litet hotell med lite rörig incheckning mm. Relativt litet utbud vid frukosten. Den stora fördelen är läget nära South Kensington station och det mycket trevliga närområdet.

Fun experience.
Nice small hotel with a new fun experience. The interior was great from the lobby to the room. Great room and bed. Good breakfast but it was menu based and not a buffet. Close to the metro and easy access to London center.

Rummet litet och dåligt ljudisolerat men skön säng och ok badrum. Dålig service och städning; papperskorg som inte tömdes, vatten och snacks som inte fylldes på, smutsig disk togs inte bort osv. Varje enskild grej inte så märkvärdigt men det var något varje dag. Ät frukost någon annanstans. Hotellet borde snarare ha 3 *eller -4*.

Hotellet ligger i ett fint område, nära tunnelbana och allmänna kommunikationsmedel, och med massor av restauranger i närheten. Rummet var fint och motsvarade förväntningarna. Sängen var väldigt bekväm och badrummet var rymligt och rent. Vår enda besvikelse var frukosten. Vi hade förbeställt frukost och det framgick inte tydligt vad den innehöll men min tidigare erfarenhet av brittiska frukostar var bra så vi oroade oss inte. På hotellet fanns information om att all-inclusive frukosten innehöll en av rätterna på menyn, kaffe/te och juice, detta för 15 pund. Den frukost vi förbeställt innehöll dock endast en rätt från menyn och kaffe/te, vilket kändes lite tråkigt. Jag beställde samma sak varje dag och innehållet varierade från dag till dag. Jag bad att få vändstekt ägg istället för pocherade och det gick bra första dagen men andra dagen sa servitrisen nej. Jag fick olika antal skivor bröd och olika mängd sallad mm. Jag skulle kunna bo där igen men nästa gång skippar jag frukosten och äter ute istället. Det finns mängder av mysiga caféer och bagerier i närheten där en för samma peng kan äta en ordentlig frukost.

Vaknade av ett fläktsystem från köket mitt i natten. Receptionisten lyckades visserligen stänga av det efter 20 minuter men riktigt irriterande.

Hade bokat rum på systerhotellet The Gallery, men det var under renovering, så utan att informera om detta, fick vi rum på The Gainsborough tvärsöver gatan. Inte alls lika fint och trevligt, utan som ett vanligt, halvsunkigt, alldeles för dyrt Londonhotell. Läget är dock mycket bra.

Katastrof!
A 15cm hole in the window was discovered (minus degrees outside) , no service to fix. Later came a guy who promise he should fix it but 45 later nothing. Called to change room but was not possible. Went angry so after a while i received another room 10pm in the evening but it was problematic. Small rooms, clean but nothing more. Sorry, no more stay at this hotel for me. I really considered changing hotel just before I received another room... and take the cost for it..

Mycket charmigt hotell inrett i gammal engelsk stil. Vi hade uppgraderat rummet för att få separata sängar, de var bekväma. Vi stannade 4 nätter och rummet var välstädat under hela vistelsen. P g a att rummet var litet var klädskåpet placerat så att det var svårtillgängligt. Kallt som brukligt i äldre hus i England men det fanns ett extraelement som fungerade. Vänlig hotellpersonal och fräsch frukost med möjlighet till uppgradering till engelsk frukost när man kände för det. Trevliga omgivningar och nära två tunnelbanestationer.

Spent a night here - cool boutique hotel vibe. It doesn't give initial impressions of a London 5 star, but you can tell that some effort has gone into the interior. Nice rooms, some themed and funky! All staff were lovely, the bar is a nice little touch. Rooms could be a tad cleaner to be honest but other than that, located in South Kensington, local to a bunch of bars, cafes and restaurants and overall, a pleasurable stay. Thank you.

Another Great Stay!
We love this hotel as it’s good value, quite unique, staff are fab and continental breakfast is very handy. The rooms are cosy and have nice touches; including a variety of teas and coffees plus a couple of snacks. Our second stay here. It’s a short walk from The Royal Albert Hall and some museums.

Wonderful hotel and location
The receptionist was very helpful and cheerful, the hotel decor is definitely unique. They had a effort to lay out heart balloons on our bed for anniversary. The room we had was 401, it’s big enough, bathroom was huge with big tub. My only complaint was the bed was bit soft and our room was right next to the lift so couldn’t get much sleep.
