Great family beach week

Great place, great location and longboat key never dissapoints. The only thing needed is an updated mattress on the pullout couch since we were not able to use that as advertised, but it’s an easy fix.

Best view!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The view was fantastic! Beautiful view of the beach from kitchen, living room, master bedroom and balcony. The kitchen is nice and updated but bedrooms and bathrooms in desperate need of updating. Didn't really effect my enjoyment though! The resort staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities were great, even better they are free! We plan to return to same unit!

Unit 303 Sand Cay Resorts

Sand Cay Resorts is well maintained. Conveniently located to St Armand, Sarasota, and surrounding areas with restaurants and amenities. Unit 303 has a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. Was able to observe the sunset from either the beach or from several locations inside the unit, the balcony, the dining area or the master bedroom. The unit had everything a family could possibly need. Kitchenware, televisions and DVRs, beach toys and supplies and puzzles and games. Even a few books. During our stay, the resort wasn't very crowded which also made our experience more enjoyable. Most days the pool was empty except for us and it was pleasantly warm (82 degrees according to the in-room manual). One of our biggest surprises was the hot water and pressure, both were in abundance. The only issues which didn't prevent us from enjoying ourselves, were minimal, the tv and cable box in the master bedroom were not connected (the chest of drawers was heavy and awkward to move out) but again not a big deal. The two sofas and the two carpets have seen a lot of use, wear and tear and are need of replacement, again not a deal breaker. There was no outside distracting noises. Very peaceful! We would visit there again.

Great location, quiet and clean

This was our first time staying at Sand Cay, but have stayed on Longboat previously and we were hoping we'd be just as satisfied with our accommodations. The place was very clean, very quiet...our view was amazing. The pool was very nice, we also had tennis rackets and other things to do outside. Nice walk out our door to the beach, perfect mid-way location to St. Armands circle or Anna Maria Island. Very nice!! We will return for sure!

Very nice place.

The property was very nice. In our party was myself, my husband, my daughter, her husband and their infant son. My daughter was very nice when she let us have the main bedroom which consisted of a king bed, an attached bath and a larger room. My daughter and her husband were in the other room with two twin beds. One of the beds had a mattress that was less than acceptable. They described it as if the springs were gone on one side of the mattress. They put blankets under to help support them while they slept. I went to the front office and they handed me a blow up queen mattress. We did not use it.

Those views!

Those views! We traveled from Chicago to visit family on the island: me, my husband and three children (4, 8, 10 years old). The kids loved the tv in the bedroom. My husband and I enjoyed coffee on the balcony and family breakfast round the gorgeous dining table with views in every seat. The unit had almost all the essentials. A quick trip to nearby Publix and CVS filled in anything additional we needed. We spent time both on the beach and at the pool. No complaints!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful location!

This is our 2nd time staying at this property and both units have exceeded our expectations. From check-in to check-out, every person is amazingly helpful and each process is seamless! This unit in particular has beautiful views, and a ton of additional items in the storage closet including umbrellas, coal/lighter fluid for grilling, pool toys and so many other comforts of home. Our kids (10 yrs and 18 months) had a great time and we're very comfortable in our unit during our stay. The only possible critique I could provide is maybe to add a couple of area rugs since the unit is tile throughout the living room area. With a toddler, we brought our own floor mats to make sure she was comfortable crawling around which worked beautifully! We will absolutely return again and plan on making this property our yearly vacation spot!

I left my heart in Longboat Key - Sand Cay

Absolutely beautiful view of the Gulf and located directly on its own beach. The unit we stayed was a little worn, but who spends most the time in a condo when you’re there for the beach? The only thing I would really have to say was not adequate was the pull out sofa; very uncomfortable. All in all though my new happy place in Florida: we will hopefully be able to make it back’

Memorial day stay

Great location, Turtle Mound Coffee is close by and amazing. Beach was clean, towels and chairs available. The only constructive feedback I have is that the sleeper sofa really needs replacing. But everything else was great.

Beautiful view, but need updates

The location of condo 303 is amazing there’s a gorgeous view from most rooms and just a quick walk to the beach. There were plenty of chairs on the beach for my family and umbrellas to borrow from the condo office. Our main issue is with the worn mattresses and couches. All need to be updated: the couch was almost unbearable to sit on and the mattresses felt really old and tired (just like us after trying to sleep on them for 5 nights). The kitchen was well stocked with just about all the utensils and cookware you’ll need and the appliances were newer. There are beach towels and hair dryers, which are not listed, and knowing that would have saved us a lot of luggage space. The door lock also needs attention, we almost couldn’t get the door open a few times. I would definitely come back after some of these updates, but as it stands I think the owner should charge a little less.
