âThe hotel was probably very nice 100 years ago. It is still charming but in need of A total renovation. The hotel is old, worn and neglected, but unfortunately the rooms are also dirty. Cobwebs and dust. Torn sheets and flies in the bathroom. It smells more or less everywhere. Unfortunately there is a lot of seagulls that pooped down the windows and they have nests outside. Nice and helpful staff in the reception, especially Barbara. The breakfast was not great. Manny who lived at the hotel...
âThe reception employees were not service minded during check in and out. I arrived at 11 am and asked about the possibility of early check in (anytime before 15:00 even paid for). The receptionist asked for my name and once I gave it, the reply was No, it's fully booked even though:
- he didn't even check.
- a couple that he helped before me got to check in.
- when I came back in the evening and asked for a floor fan, the evening receptionist said he'd look for any available in the "unoccupied...
âIts not the most stylish or modern of places to stay but it has a lovely feel to it. Staff are honest, i left my ear buds and they handed them in. The building is quirky but i was so relaxed with my kids cos there was nothing to break/damage. I could smoke on the balcony and no one cared. I will stay here again 100%â
âHotel service was excellent from dropping the bags off to checking out. They were so accommodating for dogs nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and the free tea and coffee was greatâ

âDas Hotel hat eine erstklassige Lage. Die Zimmer mit Meerblick sind klasse. Die Sicht aufâs Meer ist traumhaft schön.
Das Viertel hinten raus ist sehr schlicht und nicht so prickelnd. Man muss ein paar Meter laufen um in schönere Ecken des Ortes zu kommen.
Herausragend ist das Personal, alle, wirkliche alle Mitarbeitenden sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch der Chef des Hauses ist toll, er hat uns bei einem Problemchen schnell geholfen.
Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck im Hotel ist typisch englisch und...
âLovely hotel with really nice and helpful staff (Jonathan was especially helpful). Very comfy beds and very clean rooms. Good location and amazing value for money. â

The inn is perched up right on the edge of the moors with some stunning views.
It is a 2 min walk down the hill to the beautiful hamlet or up the very steep hill to the ruins of the old iron ore furnaces.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic we would book again.
