“A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby.”

“It was amazing from start to finish. The apartment had everything that we needed, including an information pack full of knowledge and recommendations of the area. It was in a great location, close to all amenities, also with fantastic views. Would definitely recommend and stay again!”

“It is a fantastic place in a great location. Upon entry, we were impressed; obviously we had made a great choice. The house was clean & freshly prepared. We were there to ride the Flying Scotsman, so parking was not an issue & it was a 2-minute walk from the station (up a cobble path). The village has more than we realized. The Co-op closes at 4PM. “Having stayed there for the second time this year and numerous occasions in the last 49 years , This stay was special the only downside for me is the stairs leading to the apartment, perhaps next time I should book the ground floor one as my wife has MS , apart from this it was a perfect stay .”

“A great place to stay, we occupied the second floor (flat 1) which was well presented, it is an old building where I believe the owners live on the ground floor and let out the other floors. Only issue that needs adding to the directions is that access is from Walker street at the back of the residence as well as the parking, it took quite a while to work this out as only a postcode is given”

“Cottage was very cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. Had some lovely little touches (look out for the carved mice!) and was in a great location. Walks to Whitby and Scarborough along the cinder track just 5 mins from the door. Good wifi, good sized TV and unlike many holiday 'cottages' this one actually looked like a cottage. Quaint and full of character.”
