“We booked this property because of the space and amenities within it, thinking that it would be a good home base to go to Killarney and Dingle and the surrounding areas. What we didn't know is that the little town of Castlemaine has a fun life of it's very own and if you go to Griffin's (a 1-2 minute walk!) for dinner and move to the bar for drinks afterwards, you will have a fantastic time! The owner was quick to respond to questions and accommodated early and late check in/out. The property is a very manageable 4 min walk from the heart of downtown. “Great location for Killarney National Park. We stayed 5 days and walked Gap of Dunloe then boated across, Ring of Kerry with boat trip to Skelligs, day trip to Blarney castle and Cobh , Dingle and Slea Head and golfing at Beaufort golf course. Very well equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with ensuites have showers with bath shower combo in main bath. Great for two couples or family. You do need a car. Host was great and offered suggestions that helped make our stay special.”

“The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . The water took a long time to heat for a bath … We walked on local footpath...

“Awesome location. Very nice apartment stocked with coffee and creamer. Parking great staff very helpful. Loved having space for all 4 of us. Shops very close for food supplies, fully stocked kitchen so we could cook. Very close to the shops, bars and restaurants. I’d recommend staying here when in Killarney.
